Okay, at what point do we give up and admit this was a horrible, horrible idea?

“Okay, at what point do we give up and admit this was a horrible, horrible idea?”

When the USCCB says so? 😉

“Passing legislation and then exempting yourself from its provisions is the epitome of tyranny.”

Agreed. If the tyrants do pass it may each and everyone of them remember perfectly this injustice, so that they will humbly sit in Purgatory waiting for All others to be dismissed before they will receive relief.

The Health Care “Reform” Bill was not reform at all. It was/is health care of, by but not for the elites. It was rammed down our throats and must be repealed.

Why?:

Civil disobedience is arguably the best answer. If the people join forces and refuse to join up and refuse to pay, the Govt. can’t put millions of people in jail.
And even if they tried, it would be less of a fiasco than Obamacare appears to be.

The elites seek unequal protection under the law, unconstitutional on its face. They remind one of other elites, in another time and place, and condemned by our Lord as vipers and whitened sepulchers full of dead men’s bones that lay heavy burdens on the people but burdens they themselves will not carry.

W.P.Walsh-
The perfect analogy. Vipers and burden masters. A sad lot.

Don the Kiwi: The people refused to pay their property taxes. The town put an 18% penalty and sold the tax bills to private investors. The Federal government will put leins against the whole population, which is basically what they want.

Perhaps, the best question is, was it intended to work in the first place?
