A powerful video.  Incidentally the purple heart the Sergeant held up was manufactured in 1945.  It was one of the half million purple hearts that the military laid in for the invasion of Japan and which the Pentagon has used for the past seven decades.  You know, when the Pope visits the US it is too bad that he could not meet the Sergeant and hear the other side about the deal he has so blithely endorsed.

I have never liked Presidents’ Day.  Why celebrate all presidents when only a select few of them, like Washington and Lincoln, deserve to

  1. Every American needs to see this. Sarge said it all in 61 seconds.

Anyone with half a brain (ask Dr. Carson) can see that nothing Kerry, Obama, HRH Hillary, et al, and the lying media (including FOX) says/writes has the modicum of truth contained in a common lie.
    .
Hope/pray for the best and prepare for the worst.

  2. There are no words in the English language sufficient to describe the betrayal of this president’s & John Kerry’s actions re: Iran. Complete, arrogant masochistic, delusional, & horrific dereliction of duty–don’t even begin to cover it.

  3. Iran is a nation in its death-throes, ruled by fanatics.

For a generation now, it has seen the collapse of its birth rate. Its current total fertility rate (2014) is a mere 1.85 per woman. Compare this with the years 1980-1985, when the TFR was 6.54. As a result, its military age population will shrink for 18 million in 2010 to only 12 million in 2020.

By mid-century, its economy will collapse under the twin effects of declining oil revenues and the increasing burden of dependent elderly. No wonder the mullahs would like to establish a Shiite Persian Empire, including the oil-rich areas of Azerbaijan (a quarter of Iran’s population are ethnic Azeris) and the Shiite areas of Saudi Arabia, where most of the kingdom’s oil reserves are concentrated.

In short, Iran is a country with imperial ambitions and nothing to lose.

Iran will do everything possible to shore up its allies in Damascus and Baghdad, Hezbollah, which is their proxy in Lebanon and, now, their Houthi proxies in Sana’a.

Compared to Iran, ISIS has always been a side-show.

  4. Observe Iran’s program and it’s history of planting bombs in unusual places like Buenos Aries, Pakistan’s accelerating program which has yielded a nuclear arsenal larger than Britain’s, the rise of the fascist RSS paramilitaries in India, and the Saudi’s desire to buy Pakistani arms. It is becoming easier to foresee a world in which Hiroshima and Nagasaki will become a minor prologue, otherwise forgotten.

  5. Tom D mentions “Pakistan’s accelerating program which has yielded a nuclear arsenal larger than Britain’s…”

Pakistan has a 15%-20% Shiite minority. The founder of the state, Mohammed Ali Jinnah was a Shiite, which is why he provided the country with a secular constitution and enjoyed the support of Pakistan’s other minorities.
The Bhutto family, the country’s leading political dynasty, is also Shiiite. Benazir Bhutto (with whom I was acquainted), the daughter of Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, was educated at the Jesus and Mary Convents in Karachi and Murree, as well as the Presentation Convent in Rawlpindi., something she remembered with fondness.
No doubt, Iran will try to exploit any sectarian tensions
