Maya Dillard Smith, interim director of the Georgia chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, has resigned over the ACLU’s position on who can use which public restrooms. The resignation occurred after her two daughters were traumatized by encountering men in the women’s restroom. Dillard Smith explained:
I have shared my personal experience of having taken my elementary school age daughters into a women’s restroom when shortly after three transgender young adults, over six feet [tall] with deep voices, entered. My children were visibly frightened, concerned about their safety and left asking lots of questions for which I, like many parents, was ill-prepared to answer.
Dillard Smith complained that the ACLU has become “a special interest organization that promotes not all, but certain progressive rights” and that the “hierarchy of rights” the ACLU chooses to defend or ignore is “based on who is funding the organization’s lobbying activities.” Further expressing her disillusionment, Dillard Smith stated:
I understood it to be the ACLU’s goal to delicately balance competing rights to ensure that any infringements are narrowly tailored, that they do not create a hierarchy of rights, and that we are mindful of unintended consequences. I believe there are solutions that can provide accommodations for transgender people and balance the need to ensure women and girls are safe from those who might have malicious intent.
Unfortunately, as she has learned, Dillard Smith’s view of the ACLU bears little relation to reality. The ACLU’s goal — like that of the LGBT movement — is to shove a radical agenda down the throats of the American people, not to balance rights and find reasonable accommodations.

It also explains why, to satisfy lunatic demands of an exceedingly small mentally ill sliver of the population, women are to be subject to men prancing through female public rest rooms. This of course is completely insane, but few leftists like Maya Dillard Smith are willing to say so. The so called most progressive people think that there is discrimation if males are not permitted to use famales’ bathroom. They believe that every one has body,limbs and genitals and so if one looks at others it is in order. When so much freedom is allowed in western nations which claim to have civilization the use of bath rooms by any sex should be encouraged and let there be nothing hidden. It is a philosophy and some are votaries of the new ideas.
A civilization whose govering elites are incapable of discerning and declaring what male and female is has come to its conclusion.. A civilization showing for this degree of absurdity has shown itseld to be decadent beyond long-term viability. If we do not reverse course fairly quickly by sidelining these people from all positions of leadership and governance we will be witnessing frightful times ahead.
It ALL started with abortion, when people trumped truth and told us what was and wasn’t life; then marriage; now sexual differentiation. It will never end.
Every single thinking sane person who is upset about this insanity and all the other insanities of this off-the-wall adm. need to get out and engage their liberal friends and family members in conversation about the election. I mention to others that this time is meant for you and me. This is our time to be NON conforming to the age. We stand up and out from the P.C. crowd because we’ve been chosen for this exact time and this exact place. Chosen to live the Gospel messages regardless of poor teachers that find Mercy in adherence to sinful activity. We are not bought and paid for by any governmental assistance or tax advantages.
