Questions, Questions

Nixon

A reader over at Powerline who identifies himself as a Federal agent who has been involved in hundreds of investigations over the years has some questions about the FBI investigation of the Clinton e-mails:

But to anyone who has been involved in these types of cases, this really raises more questions than it answers. Among other questions that have not been publicly addressed by Director Comey: what WAS her intent in setting up these computer networks in the first place? It obviously wasn’t “convenience,” as Clinton ludicrously claimed when this issue first arose. If your aim is “convenience,” the most convenient thing to do would be to simply use the classified and unclassified email accounts the Government provides at no cost to you to do your personal business, then just use a Hotmail or Gmail account or whatever for your personal business. Instead, she chose, at considerable effort and expense, to create her own computer network, complete with its own servers (multiple), even hiring an administrator onto the federal payroll to run it for her. Why?

I think it is fairly obvious to anyone with an IQ above room temperature that her intent in doing this was to evade the requirements of the Federal Records Act and Freedom of Information Act, thereby keeping her communications free from the prying eyes of the Inspector General, congressional oversight committees, the press and the public. Well, if her purpose was to avoid complying with federal statutes, doesn’t that, by definition, mean that she had the INTENT to break the law? And why does the FBI not care about this?

The other dog that didn’t bark: how did all this classified information get onto her server in the first place? It is important to understand that classified information up to the Secret level is handled on its own computer network; information at the Top Secret and above level is on another, even more exclusive network altogether. And the crucial fact is that there is NO connectivity between these classified networks and the internet. It would be literally impossible simply to email a classified document from these networks to an address on the internet.

That means that someone would have had either to laboriously transcribe classified documents from their source into an unclassified email or to download these materials onto some sort of removable media (CD, thumb drive, etc.), and then upload them to the internet. Not once or twice, mind you, but literally THOUSANDS of times. Doesn’t that level of effort to remove classified material from its proper place and put it on Hillary’s network demonstrate considerable, uh, what’s that word again? INTENT?

And what does the FBI think about that? Hmm, wouldn’t you like to know?

Having worked extensively with the FBI, I can’t imagine that these questions and others didn’t occur to the rank and file agents working the case, probably at a very early stage. The fact that they were not followed up on (at least not as has been publicly revealed) indicates that the FBI was deliberately instructed to maintain as narrow a focus as possible, either explicitly or implicitly. Who gave those orders? Comey? Lynch? The White House? Again, wouldn’t you like to know?

Go here to read the rest.  I suspect that a decision was made long ago that Clinton was never going to be indicted no matter what the investigation revealed.  The investigation was thus tailored to giving a pretext not to indict Clinton.  However, FBI Director Comey was sufficiently alarmed at what he saw, that he had his damning news conference at which he laid out what the investigation revealed.  It is clear to me that Attorney General Lynch, a complete apparatchik of this regime, would not indict Clinton under any circumstance, and doubtless this was equally clear to Comey.  It will now be interesting to see if “leaks” develop from the FBI about aspects of this investigation that have not yet been revealed.

It appears there is no level of malfeasance or misfeasance the Democrat government will overlook to protect the next person to be in charge of the goody shop. It also appears to be no limit to the amount of corruption a favored Democrat can commit that will alarm the main stream media for more than a few hours. And beyond that there is probably no crime regardless how serious a Democrat can get away with that will dissuade folks from voting for him/her.

Michael Dowd, the last part of your comment is where I hit a wall. I honestly do not understand how a large percentage of my countrymen think, when it comes to supporting a flat-out traitorous criminal for president. It must be agenda-above-all for this crowd, because I have liberal friends, they’re not stupid, mean, or too old to know better, a couple are even nominally Catholic, but they will vote for a monster to keep this slide into progressive hell greased. They’ve gone Borg.

“Who ever saves one life, saves the world entire.” – 1993 Schindler’s List.

Allow this quote to penetrate the power hungry, those that seek completeness and perfection while exterminating the helpless and innocent. The exact same ends will be awarded Hillary as the SS was rightfully awarded their ends. This is a revisitation of a time of clouded consciousness and misguided ambitions. A time which will be used as an example of humanity’s inhumane treatment of man and associated supporting elements of her regime will be forever ashamed of their affiliation . Forty years from this year, grandchildren will not mention the great hubris their grandparents had for a Hillary Clinton, a proven traitor of Christian values and morals.

Time will withstand the harlot’s and despicable tyrants that have only a foothold in the wall of time. They will plummet and evaporate in a gaseous fog, sickening and odious until the winds of TRUTH blow away the remembrance of their existence.

Fear not.
They shall not pass in fame, but in ignominy.

U.S. politics is just one part of life that migrates to the two umbrellas generally described as Left and Right. Every issue, every question, every person, every thought is part of a highly fragmented and polarized culture where, relatively recently in history, politics is the 24/7 of ordinary people. Democrats will never betray their tribe, no matter what. Abraham Lincoln himself praised party loyalty as a virtue. Republicans are in a different game. The Bear has no idea what it is, but Bears don’t use umbrellas. “People want to be distinct, even in their vices.” Julien Benda, 1929.

He was in a Target store.

How appropriate.

I apologize for veering off topic TAC…but when this crossed my path I couldn’t resist.

It is likely that Mr. Comedy is subject to the same sort of blackmail that our Supreme Court Chief Justice was in convincing him to approve Obamacare.

Hillary Clinton is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being that I’ve ever known.

Besides the disturbing spectacle of an obviously broken FBI and DOJ, there’s
the equally disturbing naked corruption of our so-called ‘journalists’. This blatant
criminal behavior of a presidential candidate should have spelt the end of
her campaign– and it would in a republic with a healthy Fourth Estate. Hillary will
be her party’s nominee in part because our media chooses to avert its eyes and
shut its mouth.
.
Since we no longer have a formal means to root out corruption in government
(that is, the FBI, DOJ, etc.) and neither do we have the unofficial means (a free
and healthy press), it stands to reason that Hillary and her ilk– emboldened by
their successful evasions of justice– will only grow more brazen and corrupt. If
you thought her previous scandals were bad, just you wait…
.
This will not end well for any of us here in America.
