Precious Snowflake Strips

An example of entitled brattiness in action:

A Cornell University senior delivered her honors thesis after stripping down to her bra and underwear in front of her teacher and classmates — at least two dozen of whom also undressed — in a bid to “stand against oppressive beliefs and discrimination,” Campus Reform reported Tuesday.

Letitia Chai removed all her clothes except for her undergarments during her “Acting in Public” presentation Saturday as a demonstration against her professor, Rebekah Maggor, who questioned Chai’s attire during her talk about refugee relocation, according to The Cornell Daily Sun.

“When I got up to start, my professor said: ‘Is that really what you would wear?’” Chai, who said she was “shook” and filled with “rage and disbelief” after the incident, wrote in a Facebook post that soon went viral. “She, a white woman, continued: ‘Your shorts are too short.’”

Chai recalled wearing a “long-sleeve blue button-down shirt and denim cut-offs,” which she alleges her professor told her was “inviting the male gaze away from the content of my presentation and onto my body.” She says an international male student agreed with the professor.

Chai said Maggor tried to justify her question by explaining she was addressing her from the point of view of a concerned mother, to which Chai replied, her mom “is a Feminist, Gender, Sexuality Studies professor” who would’ve been proud of her for her outfit.

In the class syllabus, students’ “dress” is one of the course requirements.

“For your performances, dress appropriately for the persona you will present,” the syllabus reads, “For example, how would you dress for a specific job interview? How would you dress when introducing a famous speaker at a particular conference? How would you dress to give a speech at a protest rally?”

The students in the class, while still supporting Chai, wrote a joint letter defending the professor’s comments, but nevertheless the faculty will undergo “training in diversity, equity, and inclusion” as a result of the exchange, according to an email Chai posted Monday.

Go here to read the rest.  Ms. Chai, presumably, has received no criticism in her life if this is how she reacts to such mild criticism.  It is no mystery however, as to how she became such a snot:

” Chai proudly dismissed by stressing that her mother “is a Feminist, Gender, Sexuality Studies professor,” and would not be concerned with her outfit.”

Go here to read the rest.  Is Cornell going to expel this unamusing poor excuse for an ecdysiast?  Surely you jest?  On Monday, Chai also shared an email exchange with the Chair of the Performing Media Arts, Nick Salvato, in which the official promised that diversity, equity, and inclusion training for faculty will “continue this semester, as well as next semester and beyond.”  The cost of attendance at Cornell is seventy grand a year.

I about choked on my coffee when I read about the 70 grand a year. Our wimpy ‘adults’ who give in to the stupidity of all this “inclusivity” garbage are to blame for the snowflake generation who will not mind to see us dead if our “quality of life” is not so great and, you know, for the “common good” and “in our best interest”. America has raised an immoral and depraved, entitled, self-absorbed population. The result is not going to be pretty.

You don’t have to be smart to go to the Ivy League.

Letitia Chai could be using her brains to improve the world, but I’ll wager her future summit of fame & worldly glory will culminate in a porn shoot with Emma Sulkowicz. Stay classy feminism.

ChaFlakei better get down on her knees daily and thank whatever god she has that her mother did not “choose” her out of this life.I would pay cold cash to be there for any job interview she has.Imagine Ms Naked Snowflake’s reaction to a company’s dresscode. Or worse, when they say we are NOT hiring you. I do so hope this comment makes its way on to the Cornell campus and ChaiFlake tries to have her campuSS police come and arreSSt me.Or files SSuit against me in the UniverSSity CourtSS there. ChaiFlake, I have the right to ridicule you and – without committing a crime- the right to offend you. I also have the right to rationally discuss the inanity and the immorality of what you and your ilk do. You and your ilk can SShout me down, but you cannot best me in a rational argument about what a true university is, as compared to your Cornell UniverSSity.BTW, snowflakes melt in the face of cold reason. PS: There are several lines on my Dad’s tombstone, including one that says only NORMANDY. He laid down his life for your grandparents and parents so that you are free today to condemn him and what his buddies did for you, so like the fool you are you can strip in a univerSSity classroom. My Grandad Fought in WWI for the same things; and my many greats Samuel fought with George Washington – who BTW was homeschooled. My Children’s 6 greats grandad, a freed slave, was the first Texian shot at the first battle of Goliad, 1835; and came back to fight Santa Ana, the tyrant, at San Jacinto. All of them abhorred your kind of pass/agress snowflake tyranny.

It’s the narcissism.

The dirty little secret about ‘women’s studies’ and other victimology programs is that they’re heavily cross-subsidized. They’re there because faculty want them, not because students want to enroll. The number of degrees in black studies granted each year in this country (out of 1.8 million baccalaureate degrees awarded) is fewer than 700. The number of women’s studies degrees is, IIRC, shy of 1,500. Even if these were something other than utterly spurious as academic disciplines, there would be scant justification for setting up a program at any institution with a census lower than about 14,000 or so, because on in that circumstance are you likely to garner a critical mass of students whose revenue stream would justify the faculty salaries in question. Even in that circumstance, we’d talking about a demonstration program employing 3 or 4 faculty. Her mother is an institutional parasite.

“Cornell is seventy grand a year..”
Guess what, engineers who’ve gone to State schools make the same as Cornell grads. Which engineers are smarter?

I find it difficult to suppress expression of contempt and revulsion over the narcissist spoiled brat feminist millennials like the wacko who is the subject of this post. There was once a feminist millennial highly placed in some organization somewhere at some time in the past whose Pinterest or Instagram account (which it was matters not) showed her cavorting in swimwear that barely concealed anything, while she proudly exclaimed at one selfie photo taken on a beach somewhere, “Hot dogs or hot legs?” Does this person REALLY reflect an organization’s moral values? The objectification of women’s sexuality – the denigration of the femininity (opposite of feminism) and nobility of authentic womanhood – that this kind of behavior causes should be cursed and eradicated from civilized society. And the fathers of these spoiled brats should paddle their behinds until they cannot sit in comfort any longer.

Quite frankly, these people are the decadent refuse of what’s left over in Western civilization. Disgusting.

If I was feeling mischievous I would have brought some other guys in and started wolf whistling when the stripping started (maybe even toss some dollar bills forward).

Apparently not enough kids today hear the story for Br’er Rabbit.

Out of curiosity, what did the fact that the professor was white have to do with anything?

Ken-Which feminists? It is always fun to hear some pro death feminists shout that they speak for “all women”. But googl many issues and you will find that e.g. there are prochoice feminists and prolife feminists. It is the same with porn, there are proporn feminists and antiporn feminists. And interestingly, the antiporn fem arguments have some echoes of the prolife fem position. Once you assume a position contradicted by nature, it is inevitable that the prinicple of noncontradiction willbring down your new ideological edifice. Check out the disrupt in feminism re men who say they are women, etc. Guy McClung, Texas

If a man had pulled this stunt he would have been arrested…unless he also wore women’s underwear.

More self congratulating racists. The issue here is a “white” woman judging the attire of an “Asian” woman, when she specifically states that she neither dictates what students wear in the class. More of this Catholic hypocrisy. Like those priests denying sexually molesting those little white boys for some many years, so you Catholics don’t see that this is a race issue.

When’s he’s done chuffering about the ‘hypocrisy’ of clergymen, maybe he can explain to us why there are so many lying liars amongst the world’s social workers, school administrators, and school administrators who think they’re social workers.

The issue here is a “white” woman judging the attire of an “Asian” woman, when she specifically states that she neither dictates what students wear in the class.

It’s a pointed question; a critique would lay out exactly why it was a stupid choice. Asking the polite question embarrassed the student because she was being an idiot, and she knew it.
You might want to consider what kind of a belief system results in people flying off the handle at a question which the class description made clear would be part of the class is asked. Especially because the question called attention to the outrageous conduct being indulged in specifically because it was outrageous.
