Object Lesson

John Hinderacker at Powerline is on the money in his explanation as to what the Democrats are up to in the Kavanaugh smear:

To some extent, the Democrats’ bizarre smear campaign against Kavanaugh is explicable on short-term political grounds. The Democrats’ crazed base demands that they #Resist, so resist they will, whether it does any good or not. But I think there is something deeper and more sinister at work.

Brett Kavanaugh enjoys one of the most spotless reputations of anyone in American public life. He has been enthusiastically endorsed by those who have known him all his life–by girls he knew in high school and college, by judges he has served with, by professors and students and Harvard and Yale law schools, by judges who have worked with him, by his judicial clerks–most of whom have been women–by the American Bar Association, by sitting Supreme Court justices. In short, everyone who has ever known or dealt with Brett Kavanaugh endorses him.

I think that Judge Kavanaugh’s pristine reputation is one reason why the Democrats have unleashed against him a smear campaign unparalleled in American history. This is the message they are trying to send: If we can do this to the Boy Scout Brett Kavanaugh, we can do it to anyone. Are you thinking of serving in a Republican administration? Or accepting an appointment to the federal judiciary from a Republican president? Think twice, and then think again.

Because our smear machine will reach back to middle school if necessary. If we can’t find any dirt on you, we will manufacture some. There is no depth to which we will not stoop, and your honesty, integrity and spotless reputation are no match for our control over the media and our determination to dredge up ridiculous allegations against anyone who stands in our way.

Really, the more ridiculous the better. If we can accuse Brett Kavanaugh, one of the most respected lawyers and judges in America, of gang rape, we can accuse anyone of anything! And our insane accusations will dominate the news.

Go here to read the rest.  Increasingly the Democrats are treating Orwell’s 1984 as a how to manual.

I read this before going to Mass today.
I was upset after digesting the above truth.
This orchestrated delay and demonic assault against the good Judge is a sign of our times and while preparing to receive Jesus a thought entered in regarding the attack on his character.

Mom, dad and daughter prayed for her, Dr.Ford.
There lies the key.

Beginning your intelligence, for one moment, and as hyperbolic as this might sound…a great and mighty number of prayers from folks like you…are sent on high to God for this accuser.
Our Lady delivers these in the form of grace, to the very depths of Dr. Ford’s heart.
So strong the grace that she can’t look herself in the mirror. She recants her testimony.
Evil is squashed and repentance begins.

She, the daughter, is ten years old.

Isaiah 11:6 speaks of a glorious day when peace reigns. In that passage a child shall lead them. The Christ child.
Maybe this child of Mr. and Mrs. Kavanaugh is leading us. Maybe we should pray hard for Ford and her soul. Maybe a miracle will happen.

Praying for conversions.

A person of evil despises a person of virtue. People of evil despise people of virtue. As we watch this satanic train wreck unfold against Judge Kavanaugh, we find that it is easy to connect the dots. The Democrat party enshrines the obliteration of each and every one of the Ten Commandments. They worship especially the breaking of the sixth, fifth, fourth, first, eighth, and ninth and tenth. Abortion, forced euthanasia of the elderly and infirm, homosexualist activities of every stripe, false witness against good people, stealing, coveting anything and anyone till the cows come home, and then some. The more they sink into the abyss of perdition, the more they explode at the very sight of a virtuous person, and thus, their claws come out with the force of something unearthly, something catapulted by dark, fallen angelic power. The Democrat party has enshrined this horrendous evil. Good people, good Catholics, I fear, are in for much more of this vile hatred flung against them.

James.

In total agreement with you.

The kite in the air hath known her time: the turtle, and the swallow, and the stork have observed the time of their coming: but my people have not known the judgment of the Lord.

8How do you say: We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us? Indeed the lying pen of the scribes hath wrought falsehood.

9The wise men are confounded, they are dismayed, and taken: for they have cast away the word of the Lord, and there is no wisdom in them. Jerm. 8:7-9

They will find it very difficult in the last days.
Where shall they turn? To whom shall they seek? Are they to call upon the name of the Lord even though they despise his precepts and his laws?

It’s hard to imagine an army of people who have voluntarily left the Lord and claim to be wise…enter the democratic party.

The Democrats and their Media, have performed this smear campaign tactic too too many times. Anyone with half a brain will no longer believe them.
(Let’s pray people have half a brain.)

I’m shocked at how many are jumping on board with the ‘Kavanaugh as rapist’ train. Or, more disturbing, the ‘Kavanaugh not as rapist, but accused nonetheless’ train. Our own Governor Kasich says Kavanaugh needs to go. A local news station had a bi-partisan round table consisting of four liberals who all said the GOP was disgraceful, and Kavanaugh’s defensiveness alone should disqualify him. Not to mention the fact that he’s been accused. It’s as if just being accused and denying it is enough. You don’t have to believe the accused is guilty. You just have to know he’s been accused, and denied it. That’s one step lower, IMHO, than presumption of guilt. Perhaps it has to do with someone who is virtuous. I don’t know. But it’s almost like we’re being moved to a point where none of it matters. It’s enough you oppose the Left, and that’s all that’s needed to destroy your life.

The Democrats are being aided and abetted in their smear campaigns by Republican cowardice. Chuck Grassley’s bending over six ways from Saturday to accommodate is Exhibit A.

When the only Republican senator to show an impassioned righteous indignation is a RINO like Lindsey Graham you know we’re in trouble.

Mary De Voe.

She very well may need multiple applications to rid the many demons infesting her mind, heart and body. I can’t say for sure but I think we need to participate in helping her. By doing this we are following our Lord’s command. Love your enemy and pray for those who persecute you. (paraphrasing)

I’m trying to look at all things as a means of God’s timing and His understanding. His timing is not mine nor our unsavory neighbors but His is perfect, so I must stay focused in praying and action. Contemplation before action was Bl. Mother Theresa of Calcutta instruction to her community.

By prayer we may act in correct manner and intention.
I have said to hell with the Lavender Mafia. I may be wrong but my righteous indignation could be spot on. To hell with false accusations? Yes. Ford?
Conversion hopefully.

The Dems are alienating any sane person on their side, those who think this could turn on them; Grassley has been bending over backwards in such a way that it makes it very hard to demonize him, or the rest, as somehow attacking Ford– you’re left with her lawyer demanding a hearing then screaming that expecting her to show up is bad, and activists tweeting both “Hear women’s voices!” and “asking her to talk is evil,” some explicitly comparing talking before Congress critters to rape– and then getting upset that they hired a lawyer to talk to her, instead of them.

John Kasich is a Never Trumper and his comments about Kavanaugh are just to get back at Trump.

Trump’s campaign and style did help get him elected, but it made enemies for him in the GOP. The GOP Establishment will not stand up to the Democrats but they will be brutal to their own. This is to be expected. The GOP Establishment hates its base.

Penguins Fan, technically Kasich changed several years ago. He attempted a Scott Walker move with labor unions. Unlike Walker, Kasich got skinned. The press and outside interests ran roughshod over him. For some reason, after that he began his swing toward a more pro-Democrat sensitivity. That was long before Trump’s campaign. He was already adopting a ‘if Gay Marriage is the law, then we had best conform’ well before 2016. Many Republicans in Ohio were already plenty upset with him before he ran. He did beat Trump in the primary, but given his life long popularity in Ohio, many were shocked that Trump got so many votes. That’s because conservatives were already getting frustrated. It hasn’t been any better since the election. As his throwing Kavanaugh under the bus demonstrates.

Democrats; from Alinsky to Orwell in just one election.
Well now, at least they are out of the diabolical closet and it’s a clear question of choosing; either we are with Him, or we are against Him.
