“If the angels were capable of envy, they would envy us for two things: one is the receiving of Holy Communion, and the other is suffering.”

The Bringer of Peace

Something for the weekend.  The hundredth anniversary of the armistice ending World War seems to call for Holst’s Venus:  The Bringer

  1. St. Maria Faustina knew suffering in her life. Her countrymen knew it all too well.

Occasionally I run across a combox that has a commenter claiming that the Divine Mercy is heretical garbage. Such people can’t be bothered to research the life of St. Maria Faustina Kiwalska.

    Dziekuje, Mr. McClarey.

  2. Three Sparks, at one point living within 20 miles of each other, of great holy fire for the world; St. Maximilian Kolbe, St. Pope JPII and St. Faustina. Poland has some very clean water. 😊

  3. St. Michael, the Archangel at Fatima told the three children how blessed they were to be able to receive the Body and Blood of Jesus. There is jealousy and then there is accepting the reality of who you are created to be.

  4. We had only been at it a few moments when a strong wind began to shake the trees and we looked up to see what was happening, since it was such a calm day. And then we began to see, in the distance, above the trees that stretched to the east, a light whiter than snow in the form of a young man, quite transparent, and as brilliant as crystal in the rays of the sun. As he came near we were able to see his features. We were astonished and absorbed and we said nothing to one another. And then he said:

Do not be afraid. I am the angel of peace. Pray with me.

How truly blessed and privileged to be recipients of Jesus’ body, blood, soul and divinity. How unworthy I am, yet he says come and do this in memory of me. Then he commands us to go…Mass…the sending.

Acceptance and acknowledgement that we are called to holiness. Set apart to be vessels carrying the body, blood, soul and divinity to our neighbors. To be Christ bearer’s… another Mary.. bringing Christ into the hearts of mankind. Christmas present.

    Peace Mary.
