When it is rejected by what is laughingly called the mainstream media.

A national pro-life organization is outraged after three major American newspapers rejected a pro-life ad as “too controversial.”

The Chicago TribuneUSA Today, and the LA Times refused to run an advertisement created by Heroic Media. …

Heroic Media Executive Director Joe Young said he was shocked and angered that the media outlets were willing to talk about the issue but were unwilling to show the reality of life at 20 weeks.

“I am disturbed that these papers would run article after article promoting the notion that abortion is a victimless act without consequences,” Young said. “The fact remains, children who are unique individuals – never again to be duplicated – are being killed in the most violent way imaginable and they feel the excruciating pain of that death.”

The newspapers took issue with the image of the baby.

“It seems as though it is okay to talk about the issue in general, but when you actually put a face to the discussion, then it becomes controversial,” Young said.

I have been involved with the pro-life movement since 1973.  Every day of the past four decades the pro-life cause has had to fight not only against the pro-aborts, but also their ever eager acolytes in the media.  In spite of their bias we are still winning, which is a medium sized miracle.  Go here to the Heroic Media website, the people behind the rejected ad.  I hope all pro-life blogs will make sure that their readers see the ad that the pro-abort “gate-keepers” of the media fear for their readers to see.

  1. To be honest, that’s the best pro-life ad I’ve seen.

It’s not gory, it’s not silly, it’s not preachy. It simply points out that hey, at this point in the pregnancy this is exactly what the “non-human fetus” the pro-choicers refer to really is.

To the public, it could drive the point home without the disgusting crap you see that really harms the pro-life cause.

This is likely why it is scaring the pro-choicers… because this angle might actually work.

  2. A very positive ad, though no surprise about those three. It would be helpful to know which newspapers were “brave” enough to run the ad and hopefully every blog that’s pro-life will print that info.

  3. This morning’s Wall Street Journal included the ad on page A-12, below the fold.

Those three other papers are best employed to wrap dead fish viscera.

  4. Those other papers must be ’employed’ by something agenda-driven in order to be able to reject the opportunity to watch a possible and wondrous thing happen in the way of increased readership.

  5. check their published and sworn circulation figures (USPS requirement) on the first weekend of October and save for comparison in 2014.

  6. Moral Relativism has no capacity for truth and its adherents have no use for it. It just gets in the way of promoting their Godless agenda. Moral relativists look at this beautiful and powerful pro-life ad with hardened hearts. It is shocking to those of us who choose to live according to the Truth, the Way and the Life to realize how very far from God, that Life deniers truly are. Life deniers see themselves as inordinately more clever and sophisticated, but in the end without Truth, they will reap the evil that they have sown.

  7. I myself was born at 6 1/2 months, and I wasn’t much bigger than the precious child in this ad. My birth mother almost aborted me. Thank god that she did not, by the grace of God! So, to anybody that thinks that these beautiful children aren’t human until birth- here is the truth, right in your face! “Just a lump of cells…” That is what my former Child Psychology professor in college told me in class. Needless to say, I dropped that class as soon as I could.
