Kickstarter and Gosnell

Liberal Kirsten Powers was a key player in embarrassing the mainstream media into giving any coverage to the poster boy for legal abortion, Kermit Gosnell.  Now she is reporting how Kickstarter  worked against an attempt to obtain funding for a film on Gosnell:

Another incident of muzzling those without the proper worldview received less attention. Kickstarter, the nation’s biggest crowd-funding site, refused to accept a film about convicted abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell unless descriptions of his crimes were removed.

After producers Phelim McAleer and his wife, Ann McElhinney, complained publicly, embarrassed Kickstarter CEO Yancey Strickler claimed on Twitter that the allegation was false. Strickler released an e-mail accepting the Gosnell film, but failed to mention that it was accepted only after the filmmakers withdrew in frustration. The producers released e-mails from Kickstarter demanding that references to stabbing babies and “similar language” be removed. The “acceptance letter” came March 28, the day after the producers withdrew their proposal.

Kickstarter explained its reasoning for blocking the movie by writing, “We understand your convictions … however … our Community Guidelines outline that we encourage and enforce a culture of respect and consideration, and we ask that that language specifically be modified.”

Somehow, making a movie recounting the crimes of a convicted abortion doctor is disrespectful and inconsiderate. Kickstarter would only speak off the record, but its explanations were dissembling and contradictory. That might be because Kickstarter’s standards aren’t exactly rigorously enforced. An album titled Incest is the Highest Form of Flattery was fine. The movie Die Sluts Die telling “the story of … sex crazed friends … murdered in unusual and creative ways,” ditto.

Go here to read the rest at USA Today.  The attempt by liberals to silence conservatives is old news to conservatives.  Kudos to Kirsten Powers for being one of the few liberals to also point it out.

When people learn the truth, they will learn how to think for themselves.
Thank you for this, Donald McClarey.

Roe v. Wade legalized the disembowelment and disenfranchisement of the human soul, for you, for me, for everybody, and the demons of hell are salivating over the fetid soul of Kermit Gosnell.
.
Kermit Gosnell is a ghoul feeding on human flesh. So hideous are his deeds, sucking the life out of living human souls, that the media cannot, dares not, expose that the monster has been paid with our tax dollars to feed on the blood of living human beings. Even ghouls have the decency to eat only dead human flesh. Cannibals kill and eat their enemies to intake their virtues of courage and wisdom, but this ghoul, Kermit Gosnell’s demon, insists on exterminating the living innocence and virginity of our constitutional posterity.
The devil feasts on the souls of people who waste themselves on evil. When the slaughterhouse face of Kermit Gosnell reaches hell, there will be a bonfire so large, so high, that it will illuminate the abortionists, the media and every human being with a sight that will cause a saint to drop dead and fall into hell himself. Only Our Lady’s hand kept the children of Fatima from dying and falling into hell when they beheld the sight of hell.
Only truth has freedom of speech and press. The media has indicted itself in its refusal to bring the truth to all. The media suppresses the truth to make evil more palatable, trying to hide the 55 million souls aborted in the most ghoulish procedure, a procedure that might only be conceived by the devils in hell.
.
Life is from God. Abortion is from the devil.
.
Respect God and God will not vomit you out of the land.
