If only the teacher unions would hire lobbyist to pitch for younger consent laws none of this “rape thing” would matter. Say 10 or 11 years old. They could vote. Consenting adults and new voter base for the insanely diabolical progressive free thinkers. The fifty shades of black coming to your PS.

Pessimist due to the trends I see happening. Soon, too damn soon, the courts will be hearing cases relating to hate speech, as one tries to quote from the Bible in public.

Yep and in public school in New York, the statute of limitations is 90 days. The child has not yet figured out what is wrong.
.
There is no statute of limitations on abuse in the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church does not abuse. Some individual criminals in the Catholic Church abuse.
Do not bother them with facts.
“2,500 teachers were punished” How were they punished? Passing the trash?

I often pray for the female teachers for some reason and they are many who get arrested for having sex with teen students. In google search, just type in “teacher arrested”…it’s mind boggling. Sure its their fault but Satan is the betrayer and thief who first deludes them into this conduct then he betrays them in that he then delights in their losing careers, marriages, and an actual job that still has a pension. Remember Christ said false prophets from Satan previous to him were thieves…John 10:10 ” A thief comes only to steal and slaughter and destroy; I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly.” Christ said there is more joy in heaven for one repentant than for 99 who had no need of repentance ergo He Himself intercedes mainly for the baptized…and by this point in history, the baptized are Charlie Sheen and Jennifer Lopez…and a lot of arrested college degreed moms. But Pope Alexander VI and Caravaggio were no bargains either and they lived long ago. But Christ keeps interceding…in case they ..the baptized especially turn toward Him…
Hebrews 7:25 “Therefore, he is always able to save those who approach God through him, since he lives forever to make intercession for them.”

“Now if only school teachers didn’t have to be celibate and could get married.”

Now that is hilarious!

Please note the following: (the number of teachers doing this should be zero)

2500 teachers in 5 years is 500 teachers a year. 500 divided by 3,000,000 teachers X 100 = .0167% of teachers offending in any given year.

“If only the teacher unions would hire lobbyist to pitch for younger consent laws none of this ‘rape thing’ would matter. ”

Don’t worry. There are people at the national levels of teachers’ unions lobbying for all kinds of perverted sex.

That is absolutely insane! Can you cite the statute?

I have seen the rebuking of the evils spirits of sexual perversion (naming the by the given specific type of sexual sin) and praying protection over the children in a given school building (such as a high school) be very effective.

We can not, nor should not win this battle of words and math … more is expected of us and it should be.

It’s a problem when it involves the Catholic Chuch, which is an obstacle to the progressive, statist agenda. Ergo the Church must be destroyed.

The war on the Catholic Church is real however surprising it may be to those who couldn’t understand the HHS mandate and the frontline defenses from that assault. The war is on and if your not engaged please step aside.

We didn’t pick the fight, but by God we will not silently sit by allowing dogs to relieve themselves on Holy Church.
Same Sex marriage is another assault on the family and Holy Church.

Soldier up good Christian!

B4UACT, a group of psychaitrists filed suit in the court in Baltimore Md. to normalize child-adult sex, probably enegized by the North American Man Boy Love Assn. Supreme Court Justice???Ginsburg has advocated for sexual consent (informed sexual consent???) for fourteen year old girls who cannot give informed consent to vote, drink, serve in the armed forces or have informed sexual consent in the culture. My disgust with Ginsburg’s reasoning is profound. Yes, the feminist movement has destroyed the protection our infant children ought to have under the Constitution. (Infant children are children who have not yet reached the age of emancipation at 18 years in any Court, including the Supreme Court. Even after emancipation, the human person may not be violated. Enforcing laws that allow violation of the sovereignty of the human person are unconstitutional.

I wish I could. I will look and might I offer this?: It was probably at the Catholic League who fought tooth and nail for the safety of our minor children against sexual predators. The Catholic League is the only post I will trust and now The American Catholic.

Screeching flocks of crows that see an available trash bag to plunder are deaf to crickets chirping near dumpsters where trash is kept covered – no easy feeding frenzy there, just a world of pain.

Consider the statistics: In accordance with a requirement of President Bush’s No Child Left Behind Act, in 2002 the Department of Education carried out a study of sexual abuse in the school system.

Hofstra University researcher Charol Shakeshaft looked into the problem, and the first thing that came to her mind when Education Week reported on the study were the daily headlines about the Catholic Church.

“[T]hink the Catholic Church has a problem?” she said. “The physical sexual abuse of students in schools is likely more than 100 times the abuse by priests.”

This is from back in ’06.

There’s also the issue of the level of proof– priests have been counted as molesters decades after the fact, sometimes after their death; teachers have to do something really extreme, and even then it only shows up if the right person knows about it.

Mary De Voe.

My stomach was turning as I read your post. Ginsburg reminds me of the witches that have been depicted throughout folklore. The ones that eat children, the ones that cast spells on innocents, the ones that look like death itself. Evil is no stranger to the heart of Madame G.

Philip: My thoughts on Ginsburg must be censored. Ginsburg is in league with Herod and Hitler. I do hope your stomach feels better. It is the cost of caring, a cost that is never returned, except in heaven.
.
Foxfier: Thank you for Charol Shakeshaft.

French law focuses on the degree of influence exercised by the abuser.
Ministers of religion are usually prosecuted, not for abusing minors, but under Art 223-15-2 of the Code Pénal for “abusing a person in a state of physical or psychological dependency resulting from serious or repeated pressure or from techniques used to affect his judgement.” Age is relevant, only as an element in proving dependency.
Teachers fall under Art 227, referring to sexual acts committed “without violence, constraint, threat or surprise on a minor” by “a person abusing the authority conferred by his functions.” Different penalties apply, depending on whether the victim is under or over 15.
This seems to me a well-founded distinction.

It seems that almost every state has a statute of limitations of 90 days for filing a lawsuit. Homicide is the only crime that has no statute of limitations, and now sexual abuse of children but only in the Catholic Church. (From my own experience as a mother I know that minor children have until they are emancipated plus two months, as adults, to file a lawsuit for injury or crime)
.
The Catholic League has myriad posts on the 90 day limit for public schools.
“POLITICS OF SEX ABUSE IN NEW YORK
Catalyst May Issue 2009
In most states, the public schools are given special protections. In cases involving abuse, a victim student has only 90 days to file suit. After that, it is too late. What this means is that laws that suspend the statute of limitations for cases of the sexual abuse of minors that do not specifically mention the public schools (they almost never do) leave in place the 90-day rule. Thus, public schools get a pass. In other words, the goal of those who want to suspend statute of limitations laws is to “get the Catholic Church.” It is not to protect kids or to render justice.”

Touching a person without their permission for one’s own gratification is doing violence to them, child or adult. It is called assault and battery and is a crime. (Even if he is VP and one is in a captive audience) Haul off and knock them down to make them stop is self-defense. Worse, still, is a minor child who is in a captive audience as in a classroom and ordered to stay. With a monster, or criminal, in charge, the law ought to prosecute until the child is capable of realizing what is done to him and he is able to forgive the criminal, this would be emancipation plus two months. The state ought to be held liable for not checking assiduously the people assigned by the state. Child molesters go where there are children. So ought the state.

Mary de Voe wrote, “Touching a person without their permission for one’s own gratification is doing violence to them”

Of course and this is dealt with under numerous Articles of the Code Pénal; Arts 223 and 227 penalise cases where there is permission. In Art 223, consent is vitiated because the person is in a state of physical or psychological dependency resulting from serious or repeated pressure or from techniques used to affect his judgement.” in Art 227 bcause the accused “was abusing the authority conferred by his functions.”

Barbara Gordon: This is a reply from the Catholic League:
.

This is an excerpt from a recent article which referenced the 90 day limit: “Child victims bill lacks backing” timesunion.com, 1/11/15

“Many religious groups say the bill targets them, particularly with the inclusion of the one-year window. And because of a legal requirement that a notice of claim be filed against public agencies within 90 days, those public institutions would be exempt from the one-year window.”
