PopeWatch: Jesus II

VATICAN-POPE-AUDIENCE

According to a translation from the Argentine journalist Uki Goñi, the pope joked that his compatriots were surprised that he had chosen to call himself Francis I, since, “being Argentine, they thought I would call myself Jesus II.”

I remember a short lived sitcom featuring a Anglo-Latino marriage in California. The exasperated WASP grandfather asks his son: “Why did you have to name my grandson ‘Jesus’? Every time I cut my face shaving he comes running into the bathroom!”
