Special Snowflakes Anthem

I’m afraid the special snowflakes will win in the coming years and decades. One of the bloggers at the Volokh Conspiracy said it’s important to fight against speech codes and PCness because today’s students are tomorrow’s lawyers and judges.
I would add voters and jurors as well. Soon “he huwted my feewings” will be accepted as proof of a hostile work environment or infliction of emotional harm.
“I’m afraid the special snowflakes will win in the coming years and decades.”
Doubtful. It is difficult building a dominant political power base from people who live in Mom’s basement.
Lol.
I thought it was Saturday. EOTT material.
One problem. Truth be told in the Real World! How will they cope?
I don’t know, Donald, they have made PC indoctrination classes mandatory, no doubt this will spill over into the real world.
Not all of them live in their parents’ basement. Ask any employer, many have to praise the little snowflakes (“good job!”) just for normal performance or accept taking days off on the excuse that, “I’m really stressed out”.
Recent social work grads who’ve gone to work for Child Protective have criminalized letting your kids walk to the park unattended and consider spanking or even yelling at kids to be abuse. How could they not? They’ve learned that the traditional family is an oppressive, patriarchal institution.
Most of all, they know that government is the solution to everything and will disproportionately take jobs in the bureaucracy. Who needs to get elected?
“Donald, they have made PC indoctrination classes mandatory, no doubt this will spill over into the real world.”
Blame that on the aging baby boomers holding on to their academic jobs with a death grip. The students are merely mimicking their elders.
“Ask any employer, many have to praise the little snowflakes (“good job!”) just for normal performance or accept taking days off on the excuse that, “I’m really stressed out”.”
I am an employer Thomas and I would fire such a waste of space out of hand. I doubt that I am the only employer with that sentiment.
“Recent social work grads who’ve gone to work for Child Protective have criminalized letting your kids walk to the park unattended and consider spanking or even yelling at kids to be abuse.”
Social work grads are harmless creatures. I work with them often enough in juvenile court. More pernicious are legislators that pass laws stating that kids cannot be left unattended until they are 14 and do not think out the ramifications. The only cases I have ever had about spanking have involved parents or stepparents where the man and wife or man and significant other have been having a fall out and they convince an assistant states attorney that the spanking was excessive. I have never lost such a case representing the Defendant and judges in my area view them as a waste of time.
“Most of all, they know that government is the solution to everything and will disproportionately take jobs in the bureaucracy.”
Thank God then that we have more Republican controlled states at any time than since 1928.
