Pollution

Something for the weekend.  In honor of the Green Encyclical, a bit of Tom Lehrer.  Living through the Sixties when I was a kid was bad enough.  Little did I know that I would have the “joy” of reliving the Sixties in my fifties.  The only thing that Marx, Karl not Groucho, got right was that history frequently does repeat itself:  the first time as tragedy, the second time as farce.

  1. Here’s one that Groucho Marx got right and it seems appropriate in light of this subject; “Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.”

Have a swell weekend and be careful not to trip over your carbon foot….print.

  2. If Pope Francis stops breathing Pope Francis will reduce the carbon footprint. All in favor of the remedies for Climate Change need to stop breathing.
