Life in Blue State America

I recall a movie that I watched back in the Seventies in which the late, great Art Carney was confronting a cop seeking to gain admission to his house without a search warrant.  When the cop told him that Carney had to let him in, Carney responded, “Not unless I made a mistake last night and woke up in Russia instead of America!”

That scene came to mind when I read this:

Harris has been investigating Daleiden for months, after his video exposé of Planned Parenthood’s alleged baby-parts scheme. His videos allegedly showed Planned Parenthood personnel actively negotiating the sale of the livers, lungs, hearts and other organs of aborted unborn children.

Daleiden released the following statement this afternoon:

Today, the California Attorney General’s office of Kamala Harris, who was elected with tens of thousands of dollars from taxpayer-funded Planned Parenthood, seized all video footage showing Planned Parenthood’s criminal trade in aborted baby parts, in addition to my personal information. Ironically, while seizing my First Amendment work product, they ignored documents showing the illicit scheme between StemExpress and Planned Parenthood. This is no surprise–Planned Parenthood’s bought-and-paid-for AG has steadfastly refused to enforce the law against the baby body parts traffickers in our state, or even investigate them–while at the same time doing their bidding to harass and intimidate citizen journalists. We will pursue all remedies to vindicate our First Amendment rights.

Matt Heffron, a former federal prosecutor from Arizona and currently a legal adviser to Daleiden, said, “To storm into a private citizen’s home with a search warrant is outrageously out of proportion for the type of crime alleged.  It’s a discredit to law enforcement, an oppressive abuse of government power.”

Attorney General Harris is running for the Democrat nomination for US Senate.  In Blue State America civil liberties do not apply to pro-lifers, at least when it is an election year.  The Judge who authorized this election stunt raid should be impeached.

Hope they had all the stuff backed up elsewhere, or it’s going to disappear.

What is this other than terrorism?

If they had everything backed up elsewhere, I would immediately release all documents and videos that have not yet been released, and publish a statement that they are not going to respond to state sponsored terrorism.

Kamala Harris is “our” (California’s and the SF Baytheist Area’s) gift to the nation (she is of course running for Barbara “I-am-not-a-dog” Boxer’s position in the US Senate. What that means for “us” is that we get her out of California, and the trade-off is nil in terms of destructiveness to the US nation (except she is about 52 years old, so the US will be stuck with her until she is about 105).

She is of course as mentioned by Daleiden a 100%-approved Planned Parenthood backer, huge on absolute gun-control and liquidation of the 2nd Amendment, anti-death penalty even for the most heinous of crimes (it’s still on the books in CA), and big into overturning convictions and re-adjudicating criminal cases.

She is another Barack Obama-clone, playing the race card (her father is Jamaican—but a Stanford U. professor; her mother a high-level medical doctor and expert who has taught at presitigous faculties (she is originally from India). While always claiming to be for the underprivileged, her own background and education was hardly that (Howard U grad and UC Hastings College of Law), and from there to City/County Attorney of SF, then where she is now, Progressive-General of California. As for “underprivileged” due to her racial make-up, give me a break: after dating Willie Brown (former CA speaker of the house and mob-boss of California), she just got married to a presitigious-firm attorney in… Santa Barbara last summer. Yeah. She is at the federal-poverty-level,

Is there an upside to Kamala Harris? Umm. I’m thinking. Well as mentioned we get her out of California to the US Senate where she will get fat, rich and comfortable, and even more arrogant. And? And we will get ultra-radical, Santa Clara U. graduate Gavin Newsom as Ungovernor next election cycle. Yay.

Oh: and for those for whom I didn’t connect the dots: prosecuting pro-life activists is great campaign coffer rain-making before her US Senate cycle, to pick up all the Boxer-give-me-death-at-birth crowd.

Did we not have a Revolution over search and seizures like this?

Is there any word on whether or not Mr. Daleiden has copies of his videos
and files backed up or stored elsewhere? He’s a sharp guy who likely saw
this coming, especially after the debacle in Houston.
.
The Life Legal Defense Foundation is representing Mr. Daleiden and the CMP.
Their site at LLDF.org is where one may go to donate, review their financial
reports, and read endorsements from the likes of Legatus and the Thomas
More Society. Just sayin’.

Thank you Clinton.
The donations to support this defense for Daleiden will add up fast. I pray they do.
Thanks for helping me do my part.

If the bishops here in California can just pretend for a moment that this was actually the deportation of an illegal alien, they would condemn this!

@Greg Mockeridge, Exactly!
.
In regards to keeping backups, can a court compel Daleinden to turn over all backups or feel the force of the “law?”
