PopeWatch: National Suicide

The Pope recently made two observations about the mass Islamic migration to Italy that he has cheered on.  One observation is getting all the attention but the second is much more significant:

Speaking in Italian he said: ‘I don’t know if he was able to get out of that concentration camp because the refugee camps – many – are concentration (camps) because they are crowded with so many people.

The American Jewish Committee soon after urged the pontiff to ‘reconsider his regrettable choice of words,’ Reuters reported.

AJC CEO David Harris said: ‘The conditions in which migrants are currently living in some European countries may well be difficult and deserve still greater international attention, but concentration camps they certainly are not.

**************************

Pope Francis also urged northern Italy to take more migrants and hoped that the generosity of the south of the country could ‘infect the north a bit.’

He added that Italy had one of the world’s lowest birth rates and said: ‘If we close the doors to migrants, this is called suicide.’

Go here to read the rest.  Leftists have often been accused of seeking to have illegal aliens displace native populations but few of them have been as blunt about it as the Pope.  Unless the Pope is a complete idiot, he can’t really think that the massive wave of Islamic illegal aliens that he has cheered on in Italy will magically be transformed into Italian Catholics.  He must then mean that he believes that people are fungible and it doesn’t matter to him if Italy is populated by Italian Catholics or by Muslim illegal aliens from the Middle East and North Africa.  This is madness, but it is madness that has the full support of the man we call the Vicar of Christ, God help us all.

“If we close the door to migrants, this is called suicide.”. PF

I’m baffled by the flip flop.
A couple of years ago we hear the Pope say that parents should be responsible and not pro-create like rabbits. Now the statement of fact related to birthrates in Italy. Makes one wonder about the Pope’s priorities. Is climate change at the top of his list? Oh but wait. Paul Ehrlich likes where the Pope is coming from so our compass must be accurate…(?)

Paul Ehrlich and his influence seems to dominate the new Vatican Pastoral approach. (aka Mercy ala’ Francis )

The “concentration camp” comparison!
🙁

Saint Maximilian Kolbe, pray for our Pope.

Italian women have a total fertility rate of 1.43 children (the replacement rate is 2.1). One in 4 women in the 45-50 age range is childless.

The consequent population decline is now irreversible, for the median age is 43.8 years and there are simply not enough women of child-bearing age to prevent it.

In the European Union, only France is close to replacement, with a TFR of 2.01.

What can one expect of an Argentinian Marxist Peronist? Really? One isn’t supposed to say this, but I cannot wait for this Pontificate to end.

“It is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness.”

Maybe PF (he never fails to disappoint) would preach traditional Church teaching on abortion, birth control, and traditional family values, it could reverse the catastrophic decreases in Christian birth rates. Never happen.

Facts are hard things. No amount of fantasizing, wishful thinking, burying-head-in-sand, gnashing of teeth or wailing will alter the truth.

Apparently, PF hasn’t been listening. The world is over-populated with lunatics that respond with hatred and violence to generous gestures. If the indigenous population isn’t sufficiently birthing to replace itself, bring in Muslims to finish off the indigenous culture and polity . . . To me, that sounds like suicide.

The Pope believes people are fungible? Probably. He also appears to believe religions are fungible. That’s the real problem with him.
