Scandal

But anonymously posted accusations ought to have no place in any prosecution. For this is both a dangerous kind of precedent and out of keeping with the spirit of our age.

Emperor Trajan to Pliny the Younger

News that I missed, courtesy of The Babylon Bee:

U.S.—In a shocking, exclusive new revelation, sources have reported to us that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh may have cheated while playing “The Floor is Lava” during his childhood.

Republicans have been trying to push Kavanaugh’s nomination through, but if these allegations turn out to be true, it’s clear that any senator with a shred of ethics left must vote “no” on his confirmation.

Multiple witnesses claim a 7-year-old Kavanaugh leaped from the couch to a pillow on the floor, but his foot clearly touched the carpet, rendering him “out.” However, the boy didn’t quit, but claimed he didn’t touch the carpet, saying “Nuh-uh!” when his friends pointed out the rules violation. “I totally didn’t!” he said. “My foot was like a million miles away from the lava. I’m still in, suckers!”

Go here to read the rest.  Of course the witnesses wish to be anonymous and will not be subject to questioning.  The shade of Henry VII, under whose reign the Star Chamber act of Parliament was passed in 1487, gives two thumbs up to this procedure.

1. Dianne Feinstein is 86 years old and running for re-election. The actuarial tables tell her she has 6-7 years left (some of which she may spend in a demented state) and she wants to spend them on Capitol Hill rather than in Frisco with her husband or enjoying her great-grandchildren. BTW, her daughter is retired. She is willing to go this low to fend off the repulsive enrages in the Democratic Party in order to stay on Capitol HIll. This is all pathological.

2. Small world: Judge Kavanaugh’s supposed partner in this escapade was Mark Gavreau Judge. No clue how Mr. Judge has made a living over the years, but he did on the side produce about a half-dozen books as well as contribute pieces to an array of small circulation publications – First Things, Policy Review, Crisis, &c have all published his work. AFAICT, he’s not producing new material anymore (His last book was issued in 2010 and his last article in 2013; his personal web page looks like it was set up about 20 years ago and last updated ca. 2005). Mr. Judge has supposedly said he doesn’t know who the accuser might be and never saw Kavanaugh do anything like what was described.

They are trying to do to Judge Kavanaugh the same thing they did to Judge Bork

I should report to the FBI that Kavanaugh shot spit wads through a straw during study hall in junior high school study hall. Anonymously, of course.

Ginsburg says that the confirmation hearing process “is wrong”. That means Ginsburg has been confirmed wrongly. Ginsburg ought to step down according to her assessment of the process.
Madam Ginsburg supports giving 14 year old girls sexually informed consent, legally. Is this freedom or abuse of minor children? …to fill the abortion clinics with the unwanted babies of lecherous old men. Good going ginsburg with a small g.
Madam Ginsburg also wants international law to run America. Madam ginsburg does not believe in our Founding Principles, even though she has taken a sacred oath to uphold our Constitution. Both sides of the mouth.

George III also tried and hanged men for less on board ships on international waters. Maybe Madam Ginsburg ought to try her justice on international waters.

Dianne “Princess Di” Feinstein slyly does what the much-maligned Inquisition refused to do: accept anonymous accusations.

If you like due process, thank the medieval Inquisitors. They invented it.

Be thankful, Art Deco, that Dianne Feinstein–despite being 86 years old– is running for re-election. As Senate Democrats go, she’s one of the ‘moderates’. Her sole opponent on the November ballot is also a Democrat but a crazy hard-core Leftist who fancies himself on the side of history.

Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty. California is an example of what happens when bishops hired men sleep and the flocks are scattered.

Does anyone really believe that Bret Kavanaugh’s mother, Martha Kavanaugh, a legal scholar and Catholic would neglect to instill in her son, Bret, a deep respect for the sovereign person and the laws of our sovereign nation?

Bret Kavanaugh now, the people of California later.
Amendment V
“No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.”
Bret Kavanaugh now, the people of California later.
“He is near who upholds my right; if anyone wishes to oppose me, let us appear together.
Who disputes my right? Let him confront me.” Isaiah 50: 8-9
No trial in absentia. No unsubstantiated allegations. Trial in absentia is unconstitutional according to our Fifth Amendment and according to the Bible.
Diane Feinstein is not representing her constituents since they are honorable people. Taxation without representation is unconstitutional. The taxpayers of California ought to get their tax money back.
Bret Kavanaugh now, the citizens of California later.

Art Deco, the “D” after Feinstein’s name nowstands for the Dementia-crat party. Observe Nancy Psychosi (D-CA), our own San-Fran SJW (Thank you, Baltimore).
..
Although I think now the proper party identification should be: Feinstein (BS-CA), Schumer (BS-NY), Durbin (BS-IL).

And then there’s Pocohontas.
,,,
This type of attack bodes ill for any presidential candidacy for All-Hands-Roamin’ Joe Biden. And t’werent no high school party. (But he was a great college football player, even though U of Delaware has no record of him on any of the rosters 1961-1965).

Speaking of which, during the Ordovician era, I remember a high school party that Diane Feinstein pressed me against a wall and demanded unspeakable things. I have no witnesses, but I have a repressed memory.
(Wouldnt you want to repress THAT memory?) I demand Feinstein resign immeidately.

One can not help but wonder if the Senator and her real estate mavin of a husband could withstand the scrutiny that is being given Judge Kavanaugh? I rather doubt the dems would be in any hurry to look into that area.
