PopeWatch: Anti-Pope

The Betrayal of the true Catholic Church in China continues apace:

Cardinal Joseph Zen has written a letter to Pope Francis detailing the sufferings of Catholics in China since the Vatican signed a deal with the communist government.

Cardinal Zen revealed that he flew to Rome at the end of October to deliver a seven-page letter to Pope Francis begging him to pay attention of the crisis engulfing the underground Catholic Church in China.

Zen, 86, wants to talk to the Pope again, but he told an Asian Catholic media website that “this may be the last time.”

On November 8, the Shanghai-born Cardinal told the Union of Catholic Asian News (ucanews.com) that “underground clerics have cried to him” since the Vatican signed a deal with China on the appointment of bishops.

“They said officials have forced them to become open, to join the (schismatic) Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association and to obtain a priest’s certificate with the reason that the pope has signed the Sino-Vatican provisional agreement,” Cardinal Zen told the media group.

Go here to read the rest.  To repeat, PopeWatch does not believe that the Pope is an Anti-Pope, but if he were, what would he do differently from what he is doing?

Frightening is the fact that non-compliance to adhere to the policies put forward by the government can result in death.
It’s bad enough to have to suffer from their hands..but extreme is the suffering knowing your Church is complacent to the measures the government chooses to use against you, a faithful Catholic.

King Francis might be a title befitting the one time bouncer.

I’m not seeing a Papa here.

I am less interested in labels than I am in actions. This pope routinely does evil. What does that make him?

Whatever he is, he’s a great recruiter for SSPX and Orthodoxy.

When God is removed from the public square, Pope Francis will out of a job.

Msgr. Nicola Bux is reported by Canon212.com to have called for an examination of the validity of Benedict’s abdication. Apparently, Msgr. Bux is having serious thoughts as to the possibility that Bergo is an anti-pope.

No gossiping while I’m destroying the Church. His latest slap down on the American Bishop’s is truly Francis.

If there is a problem, it’s not with Benedict’s resignation; it’s with the validity of Francis’s election.

I suspect it would take an Ecumenical Council to sort that one out.

I get where you’re coming from, but that standard can be applied to many aspects of the Faith.
“I believe (credo!) the that Church is One, but if She were not, how exactly would that look different from what we see today?”
“I believe (credo!) the that Church is Holy, but if She were not, how exactly would that look different from what we see today?”
“I believe that the Gates of Hell will not triumph over the Church, but if that is not what we are seeing today, how would that look different?”
“I believe that Catholic bishops are successors of the Apostles, but if they were not, what would they do differently from what they are doing?”

I think the answer to most of these questions is, “If you cannot imagine anything worse, your imagination is defective.”

“To repeat, PopeWatch does not believe that the Pope is an Anti-Pope.” The number of your fellow believers is rapidly diminishing.

Who am I?
I live in Rome, in Vatican City.
I wear White.*
I wear the Papal ring.
I am called Pope, Your Holiness and Holy Father.
I sign letters and books using my Papal name.
My passport only has my Papal name on it. **
I personally review and approve all Cardinals.***
I claim to retain a contemplative part of the Papacy****
I don’t routinely renounce previous teachings of past Popes, Councils and Scripture.
Who am I? I am Pope Benedict XVI.

* No black cassocks were available
** PF insisted on retaining Jorge Bergoglio on his passport.
*** PF always presents his new Cardinals picks to B16 for his approval.

@JFK

Your comment almost suggests a multi-personality disorder be it the office or chair of Peter. Two entities one chair.
