News that PopeWatch missed, courtesy of The Babylon Bee:
VATICAN CITY—In an honest, impromptu homily delivered Monday, Pope Francis admitted he is just making most of his theology up as he goes, ignoring thousands of years of official Church doctrine in favor of “whatever pops into my head at the time.”
Where past Popes have been careful in their attempts to stay in line with official Catholic teaching, Pope Francis confessed he doesn’t really know much official doctrine, stating that he’s more of a “shoot from the hip kind of guy” when it comes to weighty topics of morality, salvation, God, and eternity.
“People ask me questions, and I’m not always sure what to say, so honestly I’m just winging it,” the Pope said in his candid, unscheduled address. “This job is really hard, when you think about it. Trying to be the Vicar of Christ and deal with everybody’s complicated theological questions all at the same time? Ugh. It gives me a headache. So I just start talking. Even I’m surprised with what comes out sometimes.”
Go here to read the rest. In some ways this is a relief.
Yes, this is the indelible image we have of Pope Francis: soft of heart, mind, and morals, mindlessly destroying the Church in words and actions. He is the personification of Vatican II.
Is this a sarcastic joke? I’ve been fooled before.
If not, well then, any college sophomore can be pope.
It is piece of humor, but also factual judging from the Pope’s interviews.
because Jesus Christ is infinite God and finite man, both God and man and Francis is the Vicar of Christ, Francis cannot violate the human nature of man through abortion, same sex marriage or the like; pornography, sadism, masochism etc. etc.
“the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God” from our Declaration of Independence, absolutely prohibit abortion, same sex marriage pornography and the like. Emanations and penumbras may not violate our Founding Principles.
THE HYPOSTATIC UNION OF GOD AND MAN
On the Sistine Chapel ceiling is Michelangelo’s painting of God, the Father, begetting His Son, Jesus Christ with His right hand while His left hand embraces the Immaculate Conception.
This is entitled The Creation of Adam. It is the begetting of God, the Father’s Word incarnate, Jesus Christ in human flesh and human nature, the revelation of God, through the Immaculate Conception embraced and created for Jesus Christ by God, the Father’s left hand.
Jesus Christ looks to His Father. The Immaculate Conception has her eyes fixed on Jesus Christ.
The painting is of the Hypostatic Union, the soul of Christ with infinite Divine nature and finite human nature and the Immaculate Conception, Mary, who gave Jesus Christ His human nature.
The Hypostatic Union is the pattern of birth, death and resurrection in Jesus Christ’s human nature and the pattern of redemption in Jesus Christ’s Divine nature.

His, PF’s, spiritual director was Fr. Guido Sarducci. How else do you explain his mastery of modern day catechesis? “Anglicans are Catholics that couldn’t learn Latin.” – Fr. G.S.
Rumor has it that the two met up in NYC after a shooting of SNL.
After a few beers Jorge Mario Bergoglio asked Fr. Guido to be his spiritual director. Father’s reply was; “Holy Smokes! I’d be lika so honored to be a your helper inda faith.”
And as they say, the rest is history.
“If we are made in God’s image, then why aren’t we all invisible?”
This quote is the border of Pope Frank’s papal coat of arms.
It’s from one of Fr. Guido’s stimulating thoughts.
Stung by the ???? in January.
“If we are made in God’s image, then why aren’t we all invisible?”
because Jesus Christ is the revelation of God.
Man is composed of body and soul. When the soul leaves the body, we call this death. Jesus has cautioned us to not put asunder what God has joined together.
I would watch SNL again if they brought back Fr. Guido Sarducci and added Papa Frank!
