My husband is quite taken with the “saint of the day” format.
(Don’s wife Cathy here:) Googled this saint, because the first question I have when I hear that a saint or religious lived in Spain during the 1930s is “what happened to them during the Spanish Civil War”? From what I’ve read, there were quite a few martyrs in the zone controlled by the Spanish Republic back then, which included some of the towns where her congregation had founded houses, but I haven’t found anything yet about what happened to her and the members of her order during that time. (Possibly there would be something on the order’s website, but I haven’t done any digging past their home page yet.)
Foxfier I am surprised at how much I am enjoying putting them together. Saints make superb company!
