Vatican and Gomorrah

And the Lord appeared to the Lay Person in the vale of desolation as he was sitting, in the very heat of the day, weeping.

And the Lay Person said: Lord, if I have found favour in your sight, pass not away from your servant.

And when the Lay Person  rose up from there, he and the Lord turned their eyes towards the Vatican;  and the Lord walked with him, bringing him on the way.

And the Lord said to Himself:  This man has been always faithful to Me and My Son, living a just life in My Spirit. Can I hide from this good man what I am about to do to the ordained in the Vatican who have damned themselves in their disorder without yet appealing to My mercy?  For I see he shall become a good and fruitful person, and because of him many of My people shall be blessed. I know that he will command his children, and his household after him to keep My way, and do judgment and justice.

And the Lord said to the Lay Person: The sin of the Vatican is multiplied, and their sins are become exceedingly grievous.

And the Lay Person as yet stood before the Lord, and drawing nigh he said: Will You  destroy those ordained who are just, but with the wicked?  If there be five hundred  good priests, bishops, and cardinals  in the Vatican, shall they perish with the sinners? And will You not spare that place for the sake of the five hundred just, if they be therein?  Far be it from You to do this thing, and to slay the just with the wicked, and for the just to be in like case as the wicked, this is not beseeming  You: You who judge all the earth, will you  make this judgment?

And the Lord said to the Lay Person: If I find in the Vatican five hundred who are not homopredators, or sodorapists, or who are not routinely and voluntarily  engaged in homosexual acts in the holy places there, or those who enable them or send them here and there in the world to hide them, knowing their crimes and that they will commit them again and again against My children, against My young men, I will spare the whole Vatican for the sake of such five hundred.

And the Lay Person, caring for the innocent, answered, and said: Seeing I have once begun, I will speak to my Lord, whereas I am dust and ashes.  What if there be only one hundred pure clergy? Will You, despite this dear one hundred  who daily act chastely  in persona Christi in Your Son’s person, will You still destroy the whole Vatican?

And He said: I will not destroy it, if I find this pure one hundred of whom you speak.

And the Lay Person, fearing for the good clergy, even if they were very few, again he said to Him: But if fifty priests and bishops and cardinals be found there, and one wearing papal white, without this sin of disorder, or without enabling or furthering this abomination with its pain and injury to the tens of thousands of victims worldwide, what will You do?

He said: I will not destroy it for the sake of these true fifty ordained for my Son.

And thus the Lay Person pleaded with the Lord for  forty.  Lord, what if there are still forty who believe and  repeat Your words that the wicked shall be cast into everlasting fire,  and they do not repeat the heresy that ‘no one can be condemned forever’?

The Lord said I will not send a river to flush away the heresies, nor will I  send My lightning bolts to cleanse my Son’s Church of this wickedness, nor will I chasten the just with the evil, if I find forty good there as you say.

Seeing, said the Lay Person, I have once begun, I will speak to my Lord. What if thirty-five be found in the Vatican who have had no hand in stealing the money of the faithful to support these abominations, thirty-five who do not live the life of sinful luxury and wicked celebration of this evil,  and thirty-five who did not steal the money to pay for these  crimes?

He said: I will not destroy it for the sake of such thirty-five.

And the Lord departed, after he had left speaking to the Lay Person,  and the Lay Person returned to his place, continuing in prayer for God’s ordained.

Them the sun was risen upon the earth, and the Lay Person and his family fled from the Vatican.

And the Lord rained upon  the Vatican brimstone and fire from  out of heaven. And he destroyed it, and all its wicked inhabitants, doers of evil and those who promoted them and hid their evil.

And the Lay Person got up early in the morning and in the place where he had stood before with the Lord, He looked towards what had once been the beauty of the Vatican and he saw the ashes rise up from the earth as the smoke of a furnace with the foetid stench of dead men’s burning bones. And he heard the Lord speaking to him.

And the Lord said: My Son’s Church is washed clean of these abominable creatures who are now flushed into the sewers of the netherworld, along with their abominations that sullied virtue calling sin love. His Church is purified of those who furthered these sins, of those who chose freely to forsake Him, who chose this utter destruction to be with the devils, rather than shepherd My people. I loved them, but I could not force them to choose Me, nor could I, in my love and in my justice,  or compel them with My power  to come back to Me.

And so God destroyed the Vatican and those in it; and remembering  the good Lay Person and his family and friends,  He delivered them out of the destruction, and they worshipped the Lord in reverence and awe to the end of their days, and then slept with their fathers in the Lord.

Amen. I can only imagine how Abraham felt knowing that God’s wrath was going to come down on Sodom and Gomorrah killing thousands in the process. Imagine having the knowledge that something of that degree was going to happen to a major city in our current day and you could no longer do anything to avert it. I can’t. I don’t think I could bear it. It’s no wonder why Our Lady stays her Son’s hand from destroying us, for the consequence would be horrendous.

The Boxing Day tsunami a few years ago was completely shocking imho.
The video footage of mass destruction and 200,000 + lives snuffed out of existence…well, unreal.

We truly must count our blessings..daily.

What about the “lay person’s wife”? Did she become a pillar of salt?
Let us hope so. We are all guilty to some extent.

I suspect that if I were the lay person, then my wife wouldn’t be the one turned into a pillar of salt. 😉 She’s the kind of person that when she sees something reprehensible, she’s out of there and never once does her head swivel back to look.

Many people fail to carefully read the Abraham story.
In Genesis 19:4-5 it says
*:
4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both young and old, all the people to the last man, surrounded the house; 5 and they called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us, that we may know them.”
*
Pay particular attention to the phrase “all the people to the last man.” They had gathered to engage in angelic gang rape, thus the word “know.” It would appear that there were no just men in Sodom, exposed to be unjust by their own actions.
