Supposedly a Bishop of Malaga Spain during the reign of the Roman Emperor Diocletian in the late Third Century, almost nothing is known about him other than that he fled to Auvergne in what is now France during a persecution. No image of him exists. His name has been removed from the Roman Martyrology due to fears that he never existed and that this is all due to a long ago ignorant copyist who, in regard to the Saint Patrick, confused Avernia with Hibernia. If he did exist, in Heaven I suspect that he is the informal patron saint of humility.
