Reverse Watergate

So two years and forty million dollars later, the Mueller report confirms what any sentient person knew at the beginning of this farce:  there was no collusion between the Trump administration and the Russians to influence the outcome of the 2016 election.

From Attorney General Barr’s summary of the Mueller report conclusions:

The report outlines the Russian effort to influence the election and documents crimes committed by persons associated with the Russian government in connection with those efforts. The report further explains that a primary consideration for the Special Counsel’s investigation was whether any Americans including individuals associated with the Trump campaign joined the Russian conspiracies to influence the election, which would be a federal crime. The Special Counsel’s investigation did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election. As the report states: “[T]he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”
The Special Counsel’s investigation determined that there were two main Russian efforts to influence the 2016 election. The first involved attempts by a Russian organization, the Internet Research Agency (IRA), to conduct disinformation and social media operations in the United States designed to sow social discord, eventually with the aim of interfering with the election. As noted above, the Special Counsel did not find that any U.S. person or Trump campaign official or associate conspired or knowingly coordinated with the IRA in its efforts, although the Special Counsel brought criminal charges against a number of Russian nationals and entities in connection with these activities.
The second element involved the Russian government’s efforts to conduct computer hacking operations designed to gather and disseminate information to influence the election. The Special Counsel found that Russian government actors successfully hacked into computers and obtained emails from persons affiliated with the Clinton campaign and Democratic Party organizations, and publicly disseminated those materials through various intermediaries, including WikiLeaks. Based on these activities, the Special Counsel brought criminal charges against a number of Russian military officers for conspiring to hack into computers in the United States for purposes of influencing the election. But as noted above, the Special Counsel did not find that the Trump campaign, or anyone associated with it, conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in these efforts, despite multiple offers from Russian-affiliated individuals to assist the Trump campaign.

The Democrats hoped to use a damning Mueller report as a springboard for their Trump impeachment efforts, and they got the reverse.  Now their impeachment effort will not have that fig-leaf, and will stand revealed as the nakedly partisan effort that it is to reverse the outcome of the 2016 Presidential election.  This is a reverse Watergate, and the anti-Trump effort is in collapse.  The Russian collusion myth was the main weapon in the arsenal of the Resistance to Trump, and it has turned out to be a boomerang.  The Left has pioneered the weaponizing and politicization of the Law as a cudgel against  their political adversaries, but in the case of the “Teflon Don” they came a cropper.  A very good day for our constitutional order.

It’s time now to bring the provocateurs to the reconciliation room.

Agree, Don L, IF the “reconciliation table” means, without another independent counsel, legitimate investigations, indictments, and trials of the provocateurs who broke laws attempting to frame a duly elected president and members of his administration. It should not be a witch hunt for revenge. The leakers of classified info, perjurers, etc. must be brought to justice. This is imperative to protect our Constitution.

An even better day will be the day that the Clinton campaign and Obama administration officials who put together the Steele dossier, and then used it as a pretext for obtaining FISA warrants to surveil the Trump campaign and transition, and then used it as a pretext for this Russian collusion farce, are indicted for their crimes.

As much as I would like to see this “reconciliation table” play out I wouldn’t bet my bottom dollar that anything much will happen to anyone who had a hand in trying to frame Trump et al with this Russian collusion scam BUT I do see a possible scenario by this administration where there is an investigation on Clinton, Schiff, Rosenstein and anybody else involved with this scandal to be used by Trump as a tool for negotiation.

Should any of the players involved are found guilty by an investigation and are deemed important enough to the Dems that they do not want them exposed to the public, it may be possible that the Dems will be willing to negotiate with the President not to expose those found guilty and be more willing to back up the President in his initiative to build a wall, deal with immigration the way he sees fit, leaving ICE alone etc…

I think Trump would weigh the public’s right to know who the bad guys were that wanted to destroy him versus agreeing to not exposing the bad guys in order to do the important thing for this country such as securing our borders as he wants done with the “willingness” of the Dems to play along. Blackmail I think it’s called. But it works here.

Watergate and Ptresidentr Nixon’s resignation was a media, vietcongress coup d’état, which paved the way for the NVA to unilaterally abrogate the Match 1973 Paris Peace Accords and conquer South Vietnam. This one failed.

LOL

The Suicide Prevention Line phones must be ringing off the hooks!

It’s a complete rout for the lying media and the lying democrat nut jobs.

Mark Tracey Tweet: “Turns out #TheResistance’s main, two-year preoccupation ended up not ousting President Trump, but empowering him. Who woulda thunk.”

On “insurance policies”: and attempted coup d’état: March 2017: “Hypothesis: The spying-on-Trump thing is worse than we even imagine, and once it was clear Hillary had lost and it would inevitably come out, the Trump/Russia collusion talking point was created as a distraction.”

Maybe this is what St. Augustine meant by “Ex Malo Bonum?”

The National Socialist party took one in groin. Good!

This $40 million dollar expenditure isn’t lost! We will see signs of it come 2019 in GOP political advertisements. Thanks National Socialists Pelosi, Feinstein and the rest.

Thanks for helping to keep Trump in for another term.

IOW, they hired internet trolls, something David Brock does quite openly. Don’t buy the implicit accusation against Wikileaks. Recall the Democratic Party refused to allow the FBI to examine their equipment, and sent it to a private subcontractor.

“Negotiating tools” sounds interesting in theory. How can the Left be trusted? They can’t. These are people whose aim was and still is to take down a duly elected sitting president of the United States and change our government. Coup d’etat: definition of a sudden and decisive action in politics, especially one resulting in a change or alteration of government illegally or by force. Prosecution of those guilty of breaking the law should be a deterrent. Maybe some leeway in sentencing; however, the extent of criminality, how bad and how deep into our government, has yet to be divulged.

No, the left can never be trusted so Trump holds on to the final report of the investigation against those who were investigated for the so-called “coup d’etat” against him until the dems capitulate.
