Little is known of Saint Hunna except that she was the daughter of a Duke of Alsace and the mother of Saint Deodatus. She is known as the Holy Washerwoman due to her good deeds of doing the laundry of the poor. She is the patron saint of laundresses. She died in 679.

Thanks for this Donald. I didn’t know this Saint- what a beautiful story attributed to her. I share a birthday with her feast day and can say I did a few loads of washing today! St Hunna pray for us in the midst of the mundane.
