Fake Hispanic Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke is a perfect Leftist Catholic.  A complete pro-abort and embracer of all things gay, he is also an ardent advocate of socialism.  It is therefore fitting and proper that although personally wealthy, and married to an heiress whose father has a net worth of half a billion dollars, he gives next to nothing to charity.

And we thought Hopenchange was bad. At least Barack Obama only implied that he was the change we all were looking for. When challenged at a campaign event at the University of Virginia on his meager donations to charity, Robert “Beto” O’Rourke replied that his form of giving to charity includes … drawing a paycheck from taxpayers.

********************************

Wow! He’s a giver, all right. Give givvitty give give give. His heroic public service aside, in which O’Rourke has accomplished diddly squat, the question still remains. He made over $370,000 in 2017 and donated a microscopic $1600 and change of it. Most working-class Americans do better just on GoFundMe, let alone someone whose father-in-law makes the Forbes list. O’Rourke wants those taxpayers forced to pay more for the programs he champions when he’s not willing to voluntarily fund charitable efforts on his own.

Go here to read the rest.  When Christ says this:

[41] Then he shall say to them also that shall be on his left hand: Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels. [42] For I was hungry, and you gave me not to eat: I was thirsty, and you gave me not to drink. [43] I was a stranger, and you took me not in: naked, and you covered me not: sick and in prison, and you did not visit me.

I doubt a sufficient retort will be that this obligation was met by voting to tax the other guy up to the gills.

  1. Worst answer of the week. I could watch that video all day. ‘I sacrifice because I’m away from my family stumping for the job I want, and I suppose that’s like charity.’ Priceless.

  2. Makes me want to vote twice for President Donald J. Trump.

Here is why the Dems refuse to debate on FOX and it’s [believe it or not] even more stupider than Baito’s idiotic response. They asked Bernie! Sanders why he doesn’t voluntarily pay the higher tax rates he would impose on we the little people. He said he will pay when he’s forced or something grossly asinine like that.

  3. Kamala Harris’ oppo researchers have a rich vein with this guy. (They haven’t played their Bory Cooker cards yet. That should be amusing).

  4. This guy IS Barak Obama; the melanin deficient version.

Supposedly, Obama got a lot of speeding tickets. Don’t think he was ever collared leaving the scene of an accident with a BAC in the red zone.

  5. Beto is the Democrat candidate–young, good looking, rich, cheap, subjective, mindless, fatuous and, best of all, a Vatican II “Catholic” in basic rejection of the Church sexual moral structure.

  6. I’m actually quite surprised he itemized anything at all if he only gave so far below the deductible– as well as that he didn’t donate to the various open border/activist fund raiser groups here.

  7. Next Fredo O’Rourke will try to get a charitable tax-deduction for his “donated time” to his political campaign.

  8. Foxfire:

Under the new TCJA tax law, he probably was able to itemize because of mortgage interest, and so exceeded the new $24,000 married-filing-joint standard deduction.

Mortgage interest is generally deductible on all primary or secondary residence mortgages prior to December 31, 2017 on mortgages up to $1 million dollars. After that date, mortgage interest is fully deductible for primary or secondary residence mortgages up to $750,000: Plus he can take state and local property taxes up to $10,000.

No doubt he’s leveraged to the hilt.

  9. O’Rourke is the typical left wing hypocrite. He has accomplished nothing except marry money and get elected. He is an empty suit and a nearly empty head. He and Petey Butt-Head are peas in a pod.

  10. He has accomplished nothing except marry money and get elected.

I think he and his wife have a business that she runs that’s been plugging along for about 15 years or so. Supposedly, he founded it, and she took over the management later.

The person who really has little or no employment history outside of public office is Bory Cooker. Kirsten Gillibrand had law jobs, but I think they were positions she obtained consequent to political connections.

  11. O’Rourke’s candidacy is no doubt inspired by Obama’s. Obama’s represented the breakdown of peer-review functions in the Democratic Party. His candidacy was pure marketing. The late Gottfried Dietze thought the career of John F. Kennedy was an example of political decadence; Dr. Dietze died a year before Obama hit the town; I’d love to have read a dissection of BO by him.

  12. Beto also lives in a gated community – for safety you know – but is totally opposed to a barrier on the Southern US border. Ok to protect me but not you.
During the recent election, there was not a peep from the Catholic Bishops of Texas about “Catholic” Beto and his pro-abort stand.
