This is becoming predictable:

At least 290 people are now known to have died in a coordinated attack on churches and hotels on Easter Sunday in Sri Lanka, in what officials have called a “brand-new type of terrorism.”

Police have arrested 24 people in connection with the suicide bombs, which injured at least 500 people, in the worst violence the South Asian island has seen since its bloody civil war ended 10 years ago.
Authorities were facing accusations that they had failed to act on a warning received ten days before the atrocity that an Islamist group was preparing an attack.
There were fears of more devices: A ninth improvised explosive device (IED) was defused near the capital’s Bandaranaike International Airport on Sunday evening, according to an Air Force spokesman.
Go here to read the rest.  No fear for us Catholics.  Our Pope took time away from being the chief cheerleader for mass Islamic immigration into Europe to say the following:

I am truly surprised by this:   The Arizona Democratic Party is planning to hold a vote this week to determine whether

  1. Seen on Facebook: “Stupid kaffirs! We kill 3,000 of you on 9/11 and you elect three of us to Congress.”

Or, “Just something some people did.”

Papa Frank was little better. He used the word “Christian” once or twice.

The worst/first black, Muslim POTUS in history and corrupt, incompetent Hillary did not use the word, “Christian.” They said, “Easter worshippers.”

Note: None dare call it “Islam.” Because islamic terrorism is successful.

If this were a white man or a gun nut incident, all white men on the planet and every NRA member would be tried, convicted and condemned by the chattering imbeciles. See Parkland and NZ mosque shootings.

  2. This bishop of Rome, this fraud, has no spine whatsoever.
Also, just wondering, where in the world might be the very innocent Catholic mother, Asia Bibi?
Any US / Europe Catholic bishop care…at all?

  3. Ranger01, thank you for bringing Asia Bibi to our attention. After reading numerous stories about her acquittal, it appears that Muslim zealot mobs are so fanatical that the Pakistani government fears it cannot protect her for a safe transit to Canada. My guess it will have to be a stealth operation as the less publicity the safer she is. For once the R. Catholic hierarchy lack of public outrage and concern may be the best course. That said one would hope there is much back channel comms between Canada and I. Khan. It is a miracle that after 9 years on death row for blasphemy, this woman would be set free. It is also amazing that her lawyer and the judges have not been murdered. The perjurers will never receive their punishment. The Pakistani government is afraid of religious, anarchist mobs.
    Asia Bibi needs our prayers.

  4. WWMD
    What would Muhammad do?
Hmm.. once again.. we don’t hear a condemnation from Imams around the world.

Pope Francis is sure to change the subject in a few days, maybe a “breed like rabbits” statement to a Europe that’s about to be overrun. Yeah, not all Muslims are devout, like not all Germans were Nazis. But what is critical mass? And WWMD?

  5. Actually an exhortation to “breed like rabbits” is just what Catholics, Europeans more generally, and all of the Western/1st world could use about now. Then we wouldn’t need to import the future we’ve chosen not to show up for.

  6. Has Ron Paul issued a newsletter saying this wouldn’t have happened if we hadn’t put a base on Diego Garcia?

  7. The church is useless.
    The pope is useless.
The hierarchy is useless, bishops, cardinals.
The mainstream of Catholics are useless.
We love the Latin Rite. Right now, it is the only thing anchoring us to this church at all. To see the day come when hundreds of Catholics are murdered by Muslims, and these damned fools keep wanting to import more. We would have to be insane, INSANE, to keep supporting this church. For the sake of the Sri Lankans murdered, not one more dime will we give to Francischurch. To hell with these crazy men and their nonsense. The world is going to hell on their watch, why should we keep them fat and comfortable.

  8. No overwhelming outpouring of sympathy from the Western world.

In fact the media has made a deliberate effort to report that “hotels” were targeted before they mentioned Churches were targeted. The headlines read “hotels and churches”, as if to imply that they weren’t targeting Christians.

    Just non-Muslims….

On Easter Sunday of all days….

BS! The media feigns outrage that a single tourist was killed; that holiday plans are ruined.

But never mind the “backward”, “poor”, “uneducated” Sri Lankan Catholics who were honouring the risen Lord that day.

Still waiting for Saudi Arabia, Iran, Middle East, UAE condemn these attacks and offer their sympathy and one of their barefoot, bum-sniffing prayers…..

  9. In his address to members of the American Jewish Committee on March 8, 2019, Pope Francis spoke as follows. “At present, however, a source of great concern to me is the spread, in many places, of a climate of wickedness and fury, in which an excessive and depraved hatred is taking root. I think especially of the outbreak of anti-Semitic attacks in various countries. Today I also wish to reiterate that it is necessary to be vigilant about such a phenomenon.”

Then why didn’t he, following this Sri Lankan massacre of Christians, and the numerous and persistent attacks on Christians in recent years, say: “At present, however, a source of great concern to me is the spread, in many places, of a climate of wickedness and fury, in which an excessive and depraved hatred is taking root. I think especially of the outbreak of anti-Christian attacks in various countries. Today I also wish to reiterate that it is necessary to be vigilant about such a phenomenon.” Big question mark.

  10. Mar- the Pope doesn’t want anyone to think he is defending Christians and showing any favouritism. Bad for business.
