From Instapundit:

BALDILOCKS IS NOT IMPRESSED WITH THE “OTHERING” THAT’S GOING ON IN THE MEDIA:

So only the “far right” cares when brown people are killed in church?

Here’s the thing. They don’t want you to be angry, even though they know you have things to be angry about. They want you to be ashamed, all the time, for disagreeing with them about, well, anything. Meanwhile they want to keep their own base angry and inflamed 24/7. News spin revolves around this to a huge degree.

Go here to read the comments.  The Left couldn’t care less about how much Christian blood is shed.  They care a lot however about Christians waking up and deciding to do something about it.

Cancel Culture and Christianity

  1. They hate us because they hated Him first. If they hate you for your love and faith of God know that you are on the right path.

  2. Let’s be clear. The overwhelming majority of Muslims and Liberals both hate Christians. Why? Because both have chosen to be sons of the devil. Perhaps the Beast and the False Prophet to one day be cast in the Lake of Fire are Islam and Liberalism. Islam acts like a wild beast, and Liberalism acts like a prophet in support of Islam. I am sure there are other equally valid interpretations to what the Revelation to St. John says. But often in Scripture there is a meaning within a meaning, but the more I think about it, the more it seems to me that Islam is a beast and Liberalism is a false prophet.

  3. The Washington Post has never been a source of objective journalism. A leopard cannot change its spots.
As stated, the “far right” is anyone who cares disagree with the Post.
I left DC 25 years ago. I considered it a bad joke that so many people there believed everything they read in that left wing rag. Still do.

  4. PF I’ve said before that I think the so-called news media has become the False Prophet of Rev.

  5. Seen on Facebook. “Stupid infidels! We kill 3,000 of you on 9/11 and you elect three of us to Congress.”

  6. File Under Religion of Peace. Abdullah Zuber: “Jihad will continue until all Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, and atheists are dead. The Q’ran does not permit survival of non-muslims.”

  7. [T]he more I think about it, the more it seems to me that Islam is a beast and Liberalism is a false prophet.

Now see, I tend to think of it the other way around. Mohammed was a false prophet and Islam is a perversion of a heretical form of Christianity. And liberalism “frees” man to embrace his material, animal nature and act like a beast.

  8. Seen on Facebook. “Stupid infidels! We kill 3,000 of you on 9/11 and you elect three of us to Congress.”

If they were from a benign country, it wouldn’t be such a problem. One is native, but with a history as a Farrakhan votary. Another has parents from the West Bank – home of the world’s ugliest and stupidest particularism. A third is from Somalia, one of the world’s failed states. (The chap from Indianapolis, by contrast, appears to take an interest in Sufism).

The Ellison / Omar district is largely white / Anglo and the Tlaib district is largely black (i.e. Methodist, Baptist, and Holiness). One grasps for an explanation of why the voters in these districts wished to be represented by this pair of gargoyles.

Because AOC’s district isn’t the only one where a glass of water with a “D” on it can get elected to Congress?

  10. Quran 5:72 ” Surely they are infidels who say ‘God is the Christ, son of Mary.'”
ANY Christian who believes in a Trinitarian God, and that Jesus is the 2nd person of that Trinity, is an infidel to muslims who actually believe the Quran. So despite what they may say about ‘people of the Book’, most Christians do NOT fall in that category.

  11. Ernst Schreiber, I hadn’t thought of that: “Mohammed was a false prophet and Islam is a perversion of a heretical form of Christianity. And liberalism ‘frees’ man to embrace his material, animal nature and act like a beast.” There is some truth to that analogy.

  12. Because AOC’s district isn’t the only one where a glass of water with a “D” on it can get elected to Congress?

Omar won 48% of the vote in a six-candidate Democratic Primary which included two Somali candidates. She and the other Somali had 52% of the vote between them.

(Tlaib won a bare plurality vote. Her performance might be explained by the black vote being split between several candidates).

  13. “…the Tlaib district is largely black (i.e. Methodist, Baptist, and Holiness). One grasps for an explanation of why the voters in these districts wished to be represented by this pair of gargoyles.”

I work with two wonderful black people in the office at Neutrons’R Us. They are both devout Southern Baptists and very Evangelical. They know the Bible about as well as I know the Bible if not better. By what they say, one would naturally conclude that Protestant notwithstanding, they each love the Lord with all their hearts. And both are die-hard Democrats. One – a woman – is even pro-abortion because “it’s a woman’s rights issue.” Each hates, despises and loathes Donald Trump (sadly, sometimes the President brings this on himself when he tweets something really stupid). And each firmly believes the Republican Party is the party of white supremacy racism and the Democrat Party the party of racial inclusion. I am at a loss to explain this. I love each of these people and I enjoy debating the Scriptures with them at lunch time or whatever. But I have learned never to talk politics with them. Lyndon Johnson was more successful than he realized when he said that he would have those “N’s” voting Democrat for the next hundred years or so. Can you fathom that? My dear friends who by accident of birth have black skin side with the party whose prior President called them “N’s”? This is insane.

  14. Can you fathom that?

    1. See the politics of Ulster, ca. 1985. Political choices can be identity affirmations. You vote Unionist (or nationalist) because that’s ‘us’ and the other parties are ‘not us’. This is not unusual. What is unusual is when, in a given ascribed group, the ratio of those making choice A exceeds those making choice B by margins of 10 or 15 or 50 to 1. The puzzle here is that voting among blacks in 1955 wasn’t nearly so identity driven as it was in 1985, even though the civic and social status of blacks was much higher at that later date. The other puzzle is that this cut so severely against the political party which was not implicated in formal Jim Crow (and less implicated in informal social shunning).

    2. Because the Democratic Party is ‘us’ and the Republican Party is ‘not us’, political information is evaluated after it passes through a filter. The filter works quite effectively to remove all data which would generate dissonance with antecedent emotional commitments. The disposition of blacks toward Republican politicians is quite insensitive to the identity and behaviors of the politician. Gerald Ford, a benign fellow with no baggage on racial questions, lost among black voters to Jimmy Carter (who did have such baggage). The margin was somewhere between 5-to-1 and 11-to-1 depending on which pollster you consult.

    3. That insensitivity can be seen from another angle in the political life of Rudolph Giuliani. Giuliani’s administrations were among the most accomplished of any political figure of the last 60 years and bore fruit in improved quality of life in New York generally (felt in particular by those living in slum neighborhoods). It persuaded about 15% of New York’s black electorate to change their mind and cast a ballot for him in 1997, even though his opponent was a red haze Upper West Side denizen with no particular rapport with working-class blacks.

    4. You remember Gerald Ford’s flourish at the Republican convention in 1976: “You are the people who pay the taxes and obey the laws…”? That was (and still is) a common self-understanding among Republicans. It’s a self-understanding that blacks react to as cutting.

    5. And in part that’s projection. Again, the culture of Ulster is instructive, as it incorporated cordiality in personal relations juxtaposed to abstract contempt and hatred. That your co-workers are congenial with you in meatspace doesn’t implicate any respect, affection, or sense of commonality with your genus. The alienation from abstractions is intense enough to dominate voting behavior if not any other part of life.

    6. A certain share of public discourse by blacks incorporates a demand for deference. They may get it from Republican pols. Or they may get evasion and passive resistance. Or they may be treated with indifference (as Rudolph Giuliani treated Al Sharpton). Mostly the demand is implicit, such as an expectation that the black subject can engage in obnoxious and obstreperous behavior with impunity. Other times it is the implicit assertion of aristocratic status. “Black Lives Matter” (and yours don’t). It’s a source of irritation among many that our beautiful ebony selves are subject to the authority of white peasants in police uniforms, who expect us to pay for our cigarillos and not walk down the middle of the street like we owned it. A consumer of Ta-Nehisi Coates’ memoirs noted you get into his 20s before you find a single instance of a white person being disagreeable to him, and the incident he finds most salient is some random New York denizen being rude to him on an escalator.

    7. Trump enrages people because he manages to proper while ignoring the inane set of p’s and q’s the media wing of the Democratic Party has manufactured and tried to enforce for 40+ years. When Trump says of the illegal alien population, ‘they’re not sending us their best’, the truth or falsity of the statement is a matter of indifference to partisan Democrats. That he dared to be less than deferential when speaking of a mascot group of the Anointed is a crime.

    8. Nothing Trump advocates or has done is injurious to the interests of blacks taken as a group. Quite the contrary. But there aren’t any opinion leaders in the black population who will give Trump a validation sticker.

    9. All of the above is reinforced by whites in institutional positions. Did you catch that nonsense at Northwestern University where the VP for student affairs sends the entire campus an e-mail denouncing ‘hate’ ‘discrimination;’, yadda yadda. What brought that on? Some obscure person put a sticker in one of the bathrooms which said ‘It’s OK to be White’. And this provoked a complaint, and then this exercise in grotesque silliness by the VP for student affairs. The notion that it’s “OK to be White’ denies that whites-qua-whites need the ministration of twits like the VP for Student Affairs (who used to be a clinical psychologist, Oh Happy Day). It denies the notion that whites-qua-whites are pathological. It denies the notion that whites-qua-whites are a problem population until they get their PsyD degrees. All of this is rubbish, of course, and appeals to the lesser side of the black population.

  15. “And liberalism “frees” man to embrace his material, animal nature and act like a beast.”
For man to blame his criminality on the beasts is heresy.
When man abandons his rational soul, his human nature, he becomes a demon, possessed by the devil.
Animals are innocent, without free will, nor sovereignty, nor reason.
Man, in abandoning his rational nature assumes the nature of Satan. Each devil is a species unto himself. As Satan is Liar, so too, man becomes his crime, as Judas became traitor,
Liberalism is not a difference of opinion. Liberalism is a religion against all that is Holy and True. Liberalism is worship of the Great Liar.
Make no mistake. Liberalism is a religion being imposed by our government in violation of our First Amendment.
