PopeWatch is glad that the Church has no major problems to address:
The Pope told hairdressers to “avoid succumbing to the temptation of chatter.” He said they should take inspiration from a 16th century saint who was known for cutting hair, bloodletting and amputations.
Go here to read the rest. To be fair, all sorts of groups want to see the Pope, and a Pope usually wants to say something appropriate to them, although PopeWatch doubts if the hair dressers appreciated the implication that hair dressing salons are gossip mills, no matter how well founded.
Barber shops aren’t much better.
I wish he would limit himself to such things.
I’m with Penguins Fan: a puttering pope who limits himself to this sort of thing and otherwise behaving like the Maytag repairman would be just fine.
