Today, at Kent State University, the aged hippees who are still around nearly half a century after the SDS stirred up riots the weekend of 5/4/1970 will hold a candlelight vigil to remember the four students shot while the National Guard was trying to restore order. I doubt they will spend a minute to remember the 58,000 Vietnam War dead, or those killed by the SDS or the Weather Underground. I doubt there is anyone affiliated with Kent State today who has firsthand memories of that time.
Better to remember Star Wars.
May the 4th be with you, May a 5th be with you tomorrow.
