Biology Says
“A Man Cannot Become Pregnant”

“Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.”  Gen 5:2 (KJV)

The title above is for a letter written to the Bloomsburg Press-Enterprise (PA) by my wife, Rae Kurland.  The letter was occasioned by a headline in the May 21st issue,“Pregnant man’s tragedy tests gender notions.”  She puts the rejoinder to this nonsense much better than I could have.   The letter follows.

“I write to comment upon an article which appeared in today’s edition of the Press Enterprise (21 May 2019). The headline read “ Pregnant man’s tragedy tests gender notions “ On the contrary – the headline tests the credulity of the reader. One of the basic permises of biology is —MEN DO NOT BECOME PREGNANT. I have actually seen this article in several other sources and I assume it is a standard AP handout trumpeting today’s political orthodoxy with little or no attention to fact.

It has now become fashionable to choose one’s “gender” as one prefers (a grammatical note—nouns have gender; humans have sex). One can choose their own identity—I can, for example,  choose to be identified as Mary Queen of Scots. I can lose a hundred pounds, have extensive cosmetic surgery to change the shape of my face, invest in a good wig and a new wardrobe, learn French and insist that everyone address me as “Your Majesty,” but I will never actually become the tragic Queen of Scotland.”

A society which seems to be willing to accept the sad illusion that a male can be pregnant is a probably equally unwilling to see that the Emperor has no clothes.”—Rae Kurland, Bloomsburg Press-Enterprise, 23 May, 2019.

It’s amazing that we even have to have this discussion!

Biology can’t say that because that’s sexist and will get biology. 30 days in the sensitivity training cooler. Sixty if saying that made somebody feel unsafe.

I suppose if Augustus Caesar was considered a ‘son of a God’ and then a god when he died then I guess a man can become pregnant. Another attempt at playing God and being God.

War is Peace
Freedom is Slavery
Ignorance is Strength

Biology exists to advance the narrative. Get with the program, people!

For what it’s worth- as I understand it, the seahorse isn’t pregnant, either. At least not in the way we’d understand it, anymore than a chicken is pregnant.

He’s holding an egg holding an embryo; sheltering, protecting, but while yes technically nurturing developing offspring inside of himself, not REALLY pregnant. (Further technical, he’s not nurturing them, they have egg yokes for that; he’s defending them.)

With the stunning success of the nature perversity, how few years before the average reader asks: what’s a man?

Thank you, Foxfier. The point’s well taken. And what does “There are FOUR LIGHTS” signify? thanks.

– It’s a Star Trek reference to a very well regarded TNG episode where Picard is tortured. If you want a more in depth discussion, I recommend the SFDebris review. If you want a summation: Picard’s tormentor would display 4 lights and ask “how many do you see?” When Picard would say 4, he would be hit with immense pain and the tormentor would say “no, there are 5.”

It’s also become a short hand for “2+2=4”, 1984 style, but the speaker of truth wins.

Now this is interesting…

“Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.” – 1984
which ties into Sheen’s video on freedom:

Foxfier.

Thank you for the link.
He is one of my favorite prophets.

“So the modern world instead of working towards an ideal changes the ideal and calls it progress.” Absolutely. The abandonment of Truth leaves a void which must be filled and that substitute is base, a counterfeit ideal, which becomes touted at progressive thought or (t)ruth.

Imho his teachings are timeless because his subject matter is Eternal, the struggle is real and the reward for striving and achieving the ideal is Sainthood.

This substitution has reached such ghastly accomplishments, and in short order, that a great grandparent might not recognize America as being one Nation under God. For even that term itself is offensive in the hearts of some liberal legislators.

Here’s to the men and women who serve or have served in our defense of this Nation under God…The Ideal.
God bless our veterans deceased and living.

Have a blessed weekend.

At Donald’s link to a 2017 TAC post there is a YouTube video depicting the end of Capt. Picard’s torture at the hands of a Cardassian tormenter. You guys do realize (once again) what today’s Gospel reading is? From John 15:

18 “If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own. However, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of it, the world hates you. 20 Remember the word I spoke to you: ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will also keep yours. 21 But they will do all these things to you on account of My name, because they don’t know the One who sent Me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin. Now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 The one who hates Me also hates My Father. 24 If I had not done the works among them that no one else has done, they would not have sin. Now they have seen and hated both Me and My Father. 25 But this happened so that the statement written in their scripture might be fulfilled: They hated Me for no reason.

To paraphrase a bit, “In the world of madness, the sane will be prophets”.
