Quotes Suitable for Framing: William Barr

“One of the ironies today is that people are saying it is President Trump who is shredding our institutions. I really see no evidence of that. From my perspective, the idea of ‘resisting’ a Democratically elected president and basically throwing everything at him, and really changing the norms on the grounds that we have to stop this president. That’s where the shredding of our norms and institutions is occurring.”

William Barr, Attorney General of the United States

They are attempting to destroy the Republic, purportedly to save it.

AG Barr may be the gift that keeps on giving.

Also, from Barr: Resisting this Constitutionally elected president is destroying our norms and institutions (America), not Trump.

Another “money” quote,

“I’m amused by people who make a living disclosing classified information including the names of intelligence operative wringing their hands about whether I can handle classified information…. Sometimes people can convince themselves that what they’re doing is in the higher interest, the better good. They don’t realize that what they’re doing is really antithetical to the democratic system that we have. They start viewing themselves as the guardians of the people that are more informed and insensitive than everybody else. They can– in their own mind, they can have those kinds of motives. And sometimes they can look at evidence and facts through a biased prism that they themselves don’t realize.”

His other notables when asked about having his name tarnished and character questioned he brushed the accusations away and said, “Everyone dies” and later “I don’t care about my legacy,” he said. “I’ll be dead.”
The left must be besides themselves when faced by Barr and his investigations of the “investigators” of Trump, but more so for saying “Everyone dies”. When a man can casually say everyone dies or even “I’ll be dead” then there is no intimidating a man who is fully aware that sticks and stones are no match for death and he will continue to seek justice for those who have been wronged.

Can someone explain why Mueller’s crew is permitted to insist Gen. Flynn’s lawyers turn over confidential work product?

Art,

They acted as if, and believed, they had extra-Constitutional powers and use of totalitarian procedures akin to The Spanish Inquisition. And, the end: get Trump justified the means.

You’re deluded if you think the system wasn’t fixed.

Four takes I’ve seen on the Mueller report (the reading of which I leave to lawyers).

A great deal of verbiage is devoted to the President’s tweets.
They had no demonstrable interest in any interactions between the Hellary campaign and Russians, in spite of the fact that her campaign made use of two cut-outs to hire a British agent to shake the tree of his Russian contacts.
They closed up shop on the ‘collusion’ investigation toward the end of 2017. For a year and a half, they were investigating ‘obstruction’. During the course of this, Andrew Weissman dreamed up a novel theory of what constitutes ‘obstruction’ which ran counter to standing DoJ policy. In effect, for a year and a half, they were waiting for Trump to hit tripwires which would allow them to accuse him of obstructing the obstruction investigation. I think this is what people mean when they say ‘self-licking ice cream cone’. Barr’s advent as Attorney-General put the kibosh on this plan, as he’s already composed memoranda for the edification of his predecessor taking apart Weismann’s novel theory of obstruction. Rosenstein was gelded when Andrew McCabe spilled the beans about RR’s offer to wear a wire while conversing with the President.
Mueller’s shilly-shallying has been an effort to provide ammunition to an impeachment probe without explicitly endorsing Weissmann’s theory of ‘obstruction of justice’.

Art,

Someone ought to compare what Meuller said and Ken Starr’s 1998 report said.

Mueller said, “We could not make a determination that a crime was committed.” And, “We could not determine whether a crime was not committed.” And, “We could not determine whether a crime was not committed, so we could not exonerate Orange Man Bad.”

From April 20 19, Powerline blog: ” By contrast, independent counsel Kenneth Starr, in his 1998 report, established that President Clinton perjured himself during a civil deposition, conspired to obstruct justice, violated criminal prohibitions against witness tampering, and perjured himself before a grand jury.”

I am not a moderate.

I’ve read that the House must develop its own impeachment facts and evidence, can’t simply read the Mueller report into the record; which they already did a few weeks ago. Then, they did nothing relative to impeachment.

Plus, Mueller had to throw a bunch of malarkey and sound bites to the democrats-with-bylines/media and dwarves like Nadler to try distract ordinary Americans from what Barr is going to do to deep state coup d’état operatives.

Another Barr money quote (paraphrased): Resisting this Constitutionally elected president is destroying our norms and institutions (America), not Trump.

En fin (thank God!), Trump polls highest in two years, One of the goals of the “Russian collusion” coup d’état was to drive Trump’s poll numbers low enough for impeachment. That failed. See Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll survey,

Robert Muller was a crooked shyster in all the government positions he has held.
Barr should investigate Muller.
