LLINOIS—Multiple sources confirmed Tuesday that all the signs welcoming visitors to the state of Illinois have been updated to read “Land Where You Can Decapitate An Infant With Impunity.”
The signs used to display the traditional state slogan, “Land of Lincoln.” But since the state is now on the cusp of allowing abortions all the way up until and through the moment of birth, including the barbaric practice of infant decapitation, state officials said the new slogan is much more fitting.
“Lincoln probably wouldn’t have been cool with something like this, just like most of humanity except the most pagan of societies in the history of mankind,” said Governor J. B. Pritzker. “So we’re taking his name off our signs and adding the bit about decapitating infants, which is much more in line with our modern values.”
“To all those desperate mothers who live in backward states that don’t allow this practice, we want to send a message and say your murderous instincts are welcome here.”

It made the news all the way Down Under, that Chicago recorded 51 shootings (8 fatal) in a single weekend! And now expansive abortion laws have been approved up till birth. What is wrong with the corrupt dogs in power, is the plan to wipe out the entire states population?

I have to wonder about that. If unlimited abortion doesn’t do it, then taxing everyone to death (lots of new taxes were also passed), getting them to blow their life savings on gambling and/or getting their kids hooked on pot might just do the trick. Illinois has actually been losing population for some time and a Gallup Poll taken in 2014 found that at least half the state’s residents expressed a desire to move elsewhere — the highest percentage of any state.
I have lived in Illinois my entire life but I am beyond disgusted with these latest developments. You know how sometimes people coming home from war or exile or even a long trip will kiss the ground? I got back from a week long trip out of state today and so help me, I wanted to SPIT on the ground when I crossed the border…. just wish I knew where else to go.
I saw another version of the border sign on Facebook today, not sure how to link it but it says: “Welcome to Illinois, where you can now kill babies without restriction, while you smoke pot, while legally betting on Bears games, all while being taxed at exorbitant levels, while your elected officials drive the state into bankruptcy. Enjoy your stay!”
Grass isn’t always greener…But I read something like 45,000 left the state in 2018. Deeply ingrained political corruption and an inability to count properly, on the same path as Detroit? But Detroit has comparatively “stricter” abortion laws. Just sad.

I would definitely expect to see an uptick in the number of vehicles with Missouri plates at our local abortuary in the near future. Hate to say it (because I approve of what they did in MO) but I think it was their new abortion restriction law more than any other that jump started the momentum for our measure because of the, ahem, marketing opportunities it provides for OUR facilities.

Illinois Taxpayers are paying for the abortions for these minority communities. Give them enough rope (and tax money) and they will hang themselves.

I used to represent s few clients getting tax deeds on delinquent property taxes, but I stopped doing that because of the complexity of the statute involved and how ill written it is . Lots of hoops to jump through with notices, etc. In the overwhelming proportion of cases the taxes are redeemed before a property is eligible for a tax deed.
Whoa Nellie….. go check out National Catholic Register. Bp. Paprocki of Springfield has issued an official decree banning Speaker Madigan, Senate Pres. Cullerton, and any legislator who voted for the Reproductive Health Act or the 2017 legislation instituting Medicaid abortions from reviving Communion in his diocese!
Paprocki has always had a spine. Let’s see which of the other Illinois Bishops follow suit.

Illinois is in an unsalutary feedback loop.
Public institutions in Illinois have a primary function, and that is to provide politically-determined incomes for insiders. This requires taxing non-insiders to provide income streams for insiders. The taxation may be straightforward, or it may be esoteric, such as difficulty getting your permits approved without paying a well-connected intermediary (on or off the books).
What democracy does is tells you what people will put up with. The voters of Chicago and the voters of Cook County have recently placed in office two women who are unfit to hold any office or public trust – truly bad and destructive creatures. One might blame racial chauvinism for this, but their segment is well-outnumbered and proportionately declining in the core city and in the county as a whole. It’s almost as if voting is an act of vandalism in Cook County. Let’s turn the government over to the worst, just for kicks.
As this progresses, the population of outmigrants disproportionately consists of people with strong disgust reactions and people who have other options, so the mean quality of those remaining suffers a secular decline.
One example of how this works in practice is the Chicago Police Department. It’s amply staffed (unlike the police force in Baltimore or Detroit), but it’s wretchedly ineffectual. New York’s is doing a far better job with equivalent staffing.
