WASHINGTON, D.C.—Speaking on The View, presidential candidate Joe Biden promised to bring the nation back to an era when the media pretended the president didn’t have any scandals.
Biden pointed out that nowadays there’s a new presidential scandal every day on the news, some real, some invented.
“Back when I was in office, we had plenty of scandals, but it was much nicer, because the media just didn’t report on them,” he said. “It was a lot more pleasant to watch the news. The press just told you everything was fine in the White House.”
The former vice president listed off numerous scandals the Obama administration had, such as targeting political enemies with the IRS, Operation Fast & Furious, spying on opposing political campaigns, and bombing foreign countries around the clock without a declaration of war.
“I mean, can you believe the mainstream media didn’t touch those?” he said, laughing. “I was sure they’d nail us on something. But nope. We were in the clear.”
Go here to read the rest. People who wish the media to be a check on government should always pray for Republican administrations. Under Democrats, the watchdog press, almost all of it, magically transforms into the lapdog press.

The post-modern media has two functions. One, decide which facts the people cannot know because they reflect badly on democrats [Jim Treacher]. Two, Orange Man Bad!!!!!
The thing of it is, we need respect for procedural values if political processes are to be something other than exercises in gamesmanship undertaken between episodes of internal warfare. The Democrats in our time have none, and this contempt goes all the way down. I’m acquainted with no one personally in the Democratic Party who is the least bit bothered with the use Obama’s people made of the IRS, the FBI, and the various divisions of the Department of Justice. Nor am I acquainted with anyone among them who was the least bit bothered by the underhanded campaign against Brett Kavanaugh. Or the least bit bothered by the metastasizing practice of vote fraud. (The mouthy Paulbot in my family – and his wife – have been disgracing themselves as well on social media). This will not end well.
