Tech Tyranny

The latest from Project Veritas:

(New York) – Project Veritas has obtained a newly leaked document from Google that appears to show a Google employee and member of Google “transparency-and-ethics” group calling conservative and libertarian commentators, including Dennis Prager and Ben Shapiro, “nazis.”  Project Veritas received this document after the release of its investigation into Google through the “Be Brave” campaign at VeritasTips@protonmail.com.

Other big tech insiders can contact Project Veritas HERE.

The email apparently was sent as part of the Google “transparency-and-ethics” group internal communications and suggests that content from PragerU, Jordan Peterson, and Ben Shapiro should be disabled from the “suggestion feature.”

“…if we understand that PragerU, Jordan Peterson, Ben Shapiro et al are nazis using the dog whistles…”

“I don’t think correctly identifying far-right content is beyond our capabilities. But if it is, why not go with Meredith’s suggestion of disabling the suggestion feature?”

After the release of our Google investigation, Google Senior Executive Jen Gennai posted on Medium saying:

“Google has repeatedly been clear that it works to be a trustworthy source of information, without regard to political viewpoint. In fact, Google has no notion of political ideology in its rankings.” – Jen Gennai, Head of Responsible Innovation at Google

The leaked document appears to contradict Jen Gennai’s claim that Google has “no notions of political ideology in its search rankings.”

We live in bizarro world.

Right now we have constant lawfare, electoral fraud, people mobbing the border (and you want to wager on the amount of sorosphere rent-a-crowd there), the decay of what were once common institutions into sectarian venues and now the disappearance of what were (as recently as ten years ago) common carriers. At the same time, we have elected officials advocating the abandonment of law enforcement in venues large and small. And half the public is perfectly fine with this. China is surpassing us in terms of production capacity (and has 4x our population) while one of our two political parties is obsessing over Russia (which has 1/2 our population and productive capacity 1/5 th of ours). The bright idea at this time of the Democratic Party and the administrative class is to damage the performance of the military by making it a toy theatre for their social work projects. The categorical imperative is to get broads on shipboard, even if they get into cat fights and cause the ship to collide with other ships. And to turn West Point into an academic and disciplinary disaster area ‘cuz that’s so fun.

I cannot think of how this ends well.

To Art Deco’s excellent “chicks on board” comment: Monday a USN combat vessel collided with a MV in Montreal. Seems emphasizing female, gay, and transgender sailors (we called them squids prior to all this pansy-assed BS); and court-martialing war fighters for shooting tangos isn’t working as advertised.

This is big business married to big government and both are controlled by the same people.

Republicans are paid off by Silicon Valley and fearful of their power. Conclusion: Google and FB are in charge and we are on the way to the Brave New World. And few appear to care.

The categorical imperative is to get broads on shipboard, even if they get into cat fights and cause the ship to collide with other ships.

The ship hit another ship because the guys who are supposed to prevent that were so understaffed they had to sleep, eat, exercise and, er, utilize the facilities that weren’t actually installed in their workspace. They also completely ignored getting people qualed, so the poor kids stuck doing watches didn’t even have THAT to fall back on.

Department heads being idiots is nothing unusual, but in this the officer idioticy that caused it was rather more long-term.

I do think it’s related to the choosing-sailors-for-brag-sheet stuff; my shop was supposed to have 8 people minimum, plus two from engineering and two to five from surface.
We had five, and I was gone every time there was a photo-op because I was the only female in the department that didn’t work directly with the department head.

And I had it relatively good; my husband’s shop was supposed to be 5. About six months before he transferred, they finally got another body, bringing the total to two.
We both were really sorry for another buddy whose department requires a 24/7 active watch for the ship to be anywhere but at the dock…they started with four qualified people, then the other guy threw himself down a stairwell to get out of the shop (he didn’t care if it was in a body bag or a stretcher, IIRC mental discharge), one of the females refused to become qualified to stand the watch and the other was just flat incompetent. So he started with 8 hour watches, then went to 12, and I have no freaking clue what they had him doing when he was the only guy technically qualified but we didn’t see him for more than 15 minutes during dinner and then when we were on liberty. Our ship’s captain had a “thing” about retention numbers and such, didn’t want to kick anybody out– but that guy was a career killer. Something like 50% of folks whose contract came up declined to sign back up.

But supply had lots of people, and there were a lot of chaplain helpers, and so did anybody else who was willing to insist that they were critically undermanned and had enough pull with the CO/XO (depends on who was actually doing the work)

Google is increasingly bearing an ever closer resemblance to the old Soviet-era zampolit political officers.
