Farewell good sir. Loved you in Ladyhawke and so many others. We have seen some of your best moments, and they will not be lost to us.
He was excellent in Fatherland (1996). He had a real talent for science fiction-fantasy-alternate history.
What about David Hedison (Capt Lee Crane of the Seaview – Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea)?

I remember that scene in Blade Runner as the first in a long line of scenes in which a support player outshines Harrison Ford (Raul Julia in Presumed Innocent and Jan Rubeš in Witness would be noteworthy, with Tommy Lee Jones in The Fugitive being the most famous).
You know, I like the theatrical version with the voice over narration better. Maybe that makes me an outlier.
Wow. I didn’t catch this. Somebody pointed out that since Blade Runner is set in 2019, Hauer passed away in the same year as his most famous character.
