Sad Show

News that I missed, courtesy of The Babylon Bee:

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Robert Mueller was being criticized for seemingly answering questions slowly, not recalling key details of his investigation, and appearing to be confused throughout his testimony Wednesday.

After a brief recess, Mueller insisted he was entirely lucid.

“I hear a few murmurs out there that I’ve lost it,” he said. “Well, I haven’t lost it. I’ve still got it. In fact, I’m still sharp as a tack.”

Before testimony could resume, however, Mueller interrupted the proceedings, appearing to reach for his cell phone. “I really have to take this,” he said apologetically as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a banana. “Yeah, go for Bob.”

Mueller proceeded to have what appeared to be a five-minute conversation on the fruit as bewildered congresspeople looked on. “Well, tell them I don’t want to be there this Friday. Matlock’s on, you know that. You know I don’t go out when Matlock is on.” He shrugged apologetically at those in the room, mouthing “sorry.”

“Look, if the consulate has a problem with that, tell them they can call me themselves,” he concluded, slamming the banana back down on the table.

Go here to read the rest.  So the entire nation saw Bob Mueller yesterday, a befuddled, out of it old man, giving confused responses to many questions, a sad codicil to what had been a brilliant career.  I doubt if he wasn’t precisely like this in 2017 when he was a spry 72.  I suspect he was chosen to lead the investigation because he would be a harmless figurehead, and the partisan Democrats who staffed his operation could run the actual show.  I further suspect they realized almost immediately that there was no there there and the investigation was an exercise in futility, but they kept this theater of the absurd up and running, dealing with endless side prosecutions having absolutely nothing to do with alleged Russian collusion,  through the 2018 midterms in order to impact the outcome, and they accomplished their mission.  Mueller’s Grandpa Simpson performance yesterday probably buried Democrat hopes to impeach Trump in the House, but their increasingly irrational base will keep baying for impeachment and, if it comes, it will probably come next year, the worst possible time for the Democrats and the best time for Trump.

Andrew Weissman ran the “investigation”. He is, to put it politely, scum. This investigation has ruined Gen. Kelley, Manafort and maybe Roger Stone, and for what? Meanwhile, the Hildebeast limps free and brays like the jackass she and her Party are to the core.

Mueller was part and parcel of ruining lives, particularly Gen. Flynn’s. This after the FBI itself believed he didn’t lie, even though they set him up to try and get him to lie. Mueller also inverted the standard by which prosecutors are charged to do their jobs, proving his bad faith even further by only leaking damaging information. I could go on. Bob Mueller has much for which he will answer some day.

There are various types of senile dementia: vascular demential, dementia with Lewy bodies, fronotemporal dementia, dementia derived from Parkinson’s, dementia derived from alcoholism. Being unaware of your impairment is a signature of … Alzheimer’s.

The Judge Judy line, “You’re either playing dumb or it’s not an act”. A fellow I run into in these fora named Yancey Ward offers this observation, “When Mueller claimed to not know what GPSFusion was, I knew he was senile- you don’t lie about something like that- he really didn’t know, and you only don’t know that if you don’t really know anything about the thing you are investigating.” Didn’t know or was laying it on rather thick.

Oops, that’s not a quotation, that’s the Babylon Bee.

At the time Mueller was tapped for this function, he was living in the Bay Area and associated with some law firm out there. What do you suppose they were having him do?

Confused Mueller testimony raises questions about the investigation, which questions sane Americans had from day-one. Testimony will prove disastrous for Americans with minds not destroyed by the internet.

Listening to a local station last night, lady came on breathing fire because she recently lost her mom to Alzheimer’s and the oddness folks have noticed was much like her mom was, before diagnosis.

Mueller was surprised 3 months ago when he learned he was issuing a report on Trump and the Russians.
