Two Massacres

I am back and I will be doing a post on my vacation.  Sadly the news cycle never takes a vacation. Two massacres in twenty-four hours in El Paso, Texas and in Dayton, Ohio.  I am sure that the initial stories about both massacres will be wrong in details as they usually are, but the number of the dead, twenty-nine at last count are hard and sad facts.  Only one prayer seems appropriate right now:

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

May the dead see the Beatific Vision.  May the wounded be restored to health.  May their relatives and friends be comforted.  May justice be done to the El Paso shooter.  May we all recall why this life is so often called a vale of tears.

More to explorer

  1. Spent the afternoon texting with my old homeschool group down there– I haven’t heard back on the dad of one of the ladies, who lives behind the Walmart, but I’m sure that means that he was helping.

It seriously makes no sense. He is supposedly targeting Mexicans– and picks one of the whitest Walmarts around? I assumed he’d gone to the one just a few minutes down the road, which is apparently the most convenient for those coming out of the border crossing.
And he is a week early– next week is the tax-free weekend.
It is a popular first stop before hitting the mall, though, which is a guns free zone, which has the force of law in Texas.

  2. The sovereignty of the human being is pronounced through the acknowledgement of The Supreme Sovereign Being WHOSE Love, Justice and Mercy are perfect and infinite.
Latent sovereignty, that sovereignty unacknowledged, laid waste and discarded or worse, hated, held in contempt and disdain brings forth evil of unimaginable proportions…to be continued.

  3. The young of today dont receive or very little religious education.Ask a young adult to name you the 10 commendments of God ,they dont know them!

  4. I feel terrible about these tragedies. I feel disgusted at how quickly the Democrats subverted them into campaign events.

Speaking of massacres: If yesterday was “average” Saturday in America, approximately 1,000 babies were killed.

    Cue Crazy Talk Shea . . .

  5. I am becoming more and more convinced that the democrats have something to do with this since there are so many shootings since Trump took office. They want to use this to force gun control

  6. There is always this stinkin’ feeling I have that Dems provoke the mentally ill to the point that they go out on a shooting spree just to turn public opinion against lawfully owned guns.

  7. Thanks to T. Shaw for perspective.

    That IS the massacre.
Life is cheap…thanks to lthe legalization of abortion on demand. What’s up dem’s? You can dish out the bloodshed with abortion…..but you can’t handle random acts of violence?

“Soul searching” is lost with them. An oxymoron if ever there was one.
Change we can believe in starts with respect for Life. Trump is getting the idea. Joe Biden is a lost individual.
Seeking support at any cost. Even innocent babies.

  8. continued:
211 The Meaning and Reality of Individual Sovereignty with Dr. Jordan B. Peterson on youtube.
Homo Sapiens, the man of wisdom maintains his innocence.
The King James version of the Bible refers to God as a thing, a “which” and a “that. This needs to be a “WHO in heaven”
The Supreme Sovereign Being is Three Sovereign Persons in one Trinity.
The sovereign person is referred to as a “WHO”

  9. Father Mitch Pacwa on EWTN said that they have taken the Ten Commandment out of public school. “Thou shalt not kill” is no longer allowed in public anywhere.
