I’ve Seen This Movie Before

Yikes:

Now, comes the European Union with a clever idea to add consumer warning labels to products from Israel as being from that Jewish state. No, seriously.

Of course, this is not the first time Jews have been singled out for such public alerts.

In Germany and Eastern Europe in the 1930’s and ’40s the Nazis forced Jews to wear yellow stars of David on their outerwear as a public humiliation and isolating tactic to deter others from having any contact. Before that, the Russian tsar required Jews to wear animal skins as head coverings, an intended humiliation.

The Advocate General of the European Court of Justice recently issued an opinion that EU law requires Israeli-made products be labeled as originating from “Israeli colonies” or “settlements.”

Go here to read the rest.  Judenfrei is back in style in Europe, if it ever really went out of style.  Jews should get out of Europe while the getting is good.  Like last time this will not end well.

I don’t think that there will be any Nuremberg trial the next time this happens. Rather, I think the good Lord will have had enough, and the trial will go thus:

Revelation 20: 11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who sat upon it; from his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, by what they had done. 13 And the sea gave up the dead in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead in them, and all were judged by what they had done. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire; 15 and if any one’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

There will be no reprieve, no second chances. We are trying God’s patience and that never ends well.

Perhaps this EU proposal is not as bad as it seems. In chain grocery stores loose fruit have small stickers on them with the country of origin. They may also have a brand name, a variety name and a SKU number. In my kitchen there are Susie limes from Mexico, avacados from Peru, Big Smile USA yellow peaches, Zespri NZ kiwis, Dole Costa Rica bananas, HMC Farms USA-E-U white peaches. The latter is a California farm. I suppose stickers are a USDA requirement for importation so that if there is an outbreak of say Medfly or other insect or disease the origin of the fruit can be quickly located. Caveat: these stickers do need to be removed from fruits before eating. During routine colonoscopies, doctors have seen such stickers attached to colon linings.
Israel is known for vine ripe tomatoes and citrus, especially tasty oranges. The requirement to have Israel “settlements” could be geographic, though Israel “colonies” does seem political.
Anti-Semitism does exist as does Anti-Christianity, Anti-Catholicism in Europe. Anti- religion except Islam is getting worse in the EU as Europe becomes more and more secular. Godless. The Jews are more vocal about it. I wish in the US we complained more about Anti-Catholicism, but then we do have the awful sex scandal with the rightfully negative publicity that goes with it. Not a word about Catholic charities, relief, or hospitals, etc. The Evangelicals take a lot of heat in my state of Virginia. Former Senator John Warner came out against a Republican Lt. Governor candidate because he was a home schooling Evangelical and so Warner encouraged and
supported an also ran Republican as an independent.
