I’ve noticed that when folks start using “know it all,” it more often can translate as “how dare you miss the social signal that you are supposed to ignore that inaccuracy, I am now embarrassed!”
Sometimes, this is a legitimate objection; sometimes, it’s an arguable objection (such as in the illustration, although frankly that’s not a very good reason to say a list is illegitimate, maybe on the grounds of being a mish-mash).
Most of the time, it’s just yelling ‘shut up’ in a more socially acceptable manner.
