Math is Tough

News that I missed, courtesy of The Babylon Bee:

IOWA—The Democratic primaries have broken down into chaos after the party encountered its archnemesis head-on for the first time: basic math.

While progressives were optimistic going into the primaries, they’d forgotten that numbers, counting, and addition would be required.

“No one told us math would be involved!” said one angry Bernie Sanders voter. “We just kinda wanted them to pick our guy. We weren’t told there would be things like addition, counting, and more counting. Can’t we just win based on blind optimism, kinda like how socialism works?”

Pete Buttigieg quickly declared victory, even though votes weren’t tallied yet, as he claimed he is the morally correct choice, if not the mathematically selected one. “It’s 2020, and we’re still basing primaries on outdated concepts like counting. This is not our America.”

“We would have gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for that pesky math!” grumbled Bernie Sanders.

Go here to read the rest.  Democrats are going to release the results of the Iowa caucus at 5:00 PM EST.  Democrats of today lack the work ethic of their forebears.  LBJ would have had phony caucus results issued before midnight the day of the caucus, with a Supreme Court Justice verifying the result.  This is a black mark on the name of crooked politics.  A tearful jackass is hanging his head in shame.

I understand that Bill Clinton has a financial interest in the company responsible for designing the counting system. Not surprising the results are muddled.

Aliens? I’m not sure of their existence.
But I have met leftists who think we’d have a “different” science if our number system were not decimal. I assure you they do exist and no explaining binary or hexadecimal remedies their curious mental state.

That said the Iowa embarrassment is a failure of management, not code. Scratch the surface and the project managers are shown to be partisan hacks not fit to run anything let alone a country.

I have to believe that using this new system the Dems tried to control the results but it failed. Now they are trying to hide the fact they manipulated the caucus while still trying to come up with the results they wanted.
