That’s one impressive priest. Wow is the correct descriptor. The laity had better gather around him and defend him as Archbishop Gregory is likely to come after him hammer and tong. St. Michael defend him.
Praise God! Praise God! Lord Jesus help us, we need help. Holy holy holy!
Mary! Help us!
Holy Spirit come
The irony of being ‘unwelcome’ in a all are welcome church.
Fantastic.
A big huge clear glass of water.
The priest needs help. He presents as an angry, entitled man, and who is not only clueless but heartless. He is also distorting facts,to accommodate whatever unconscious psychological wounds he carries.deep within. The poor, raging man speaks nothing of 300 years of human indignity against a group of people that is a vein in America’s history, culture and putting exploitation of human beings in the name of human greed.
America, founded by Englishmen who committed genocide against the original inhabitants of the American continent. The misguided-by-ignorance priest speaks nothing of post US Civil War rise of the KKK, spawned from a European fetish with skin color, nor of legal lynchings of human beings, which were standard family picnic entertainment. No, this deranged thinking by a man of ‘the cloth’ is full not of love, compassion, humility. He is full of rage and internally struggling with a sense of threat by a changing society, as slow as that change is. He rages of entitlement and fear. No love here, dear priest. No love here, flock of the congregation. No lessons learned dear priest.
No, this very ill priest stands in front of his ‘flock’ (sheep?), and spews out his own self-hate, frustration, sense of
dis-empowerment. He does not offer intellectual curiosity nor reflection about the moment. He has done none of these things. He has, however, contributed to emotional and physical violence, indifference, white male entitlement and, all the while showing to anyone with one ounce of intellectual independence just how desperate he is. My heart breaks.
Good luck God, helping this very lost sheep. And, those who believe, blindly, in him and his message. Much work to be done in America, founded on genocide, 300 years of torturing, raping and enslaving peoples of Africa. In the name of Human Greed.
So unspeakably happy to hear the words spoken. I was stunned to hear what SAS said by the a.b. Thank you thank you thank you for defending the faith.
Thomas Sowell: “Racism does not have a good track record. It’s been tried out for a long time and you’d think by now we’d want to put an end to it instead of putting it under new management.
”
Friends, I give you Ann. From her diatribe she is a perfect example of the racism taught on campuses that masquerades as anti-racism. Assuming she is a product of such a miseducation, she is completely ignorant of history except the racist version she has been spoon-fed. She views whites as devils. (Likely she is white herself.) She is as race obsessed as a member of the Klan circa 1867. She views any opinions, other than the narrow ones she subscribes to, as violence against her and as hate speech that must be stopped. Tolerance, which is essential for civic peace, is as foreign to her as Greek. When the forces she represents are defeated, and ultimately they will be defeated, her form of blind bigotry will hopefully be a warning to future generations of the damage that race hatred can accomplish. Thank you Ann, you have performed a valuable service in this thread.
Ann, you’re looking inside yourself and nowhere else. It would be exceedingly imprudent to base public policy on the personal disorders of you and people like you.
My personal situation is such that I’m exposed to a great deal of liberal discourse to be found among street-level Democrats. Nearly all the perpetrators are bourgeois and all but three are white (one is black, one is mulatto and one is Korean). A number of them have post-baccalaureate degrees. What these people are not is policy mavens, nor do they seek to be familiar with social statistics in a crude way. I’ll be plain about it. Nearly everything they say is social fiction derived from their personal issues. Nowadays you see the terms ‘Marxism’ or ‘fascism’ or ‘CultMarx’ bandied about in starboard discussions. That is false and a complete waste of time. We are looking at a set of cultural and psychological dispensations manifest in the schools, the media, and the Democratic Party. The politico-economic dimension is that what they advocate is consistent with more jobs and income for certain occupational guilds (Leave No Social Worker Behind). They’re nearly impossible to argue with and they cannot keep their own counsel. This will not end well.
Thank you for a breath of fresh air . I agree and pray for this to be over.
Wow! This priest is battle ready! Jesus help me to persevere in the days to come. I wish this priest was a Bishop! What courage!
Loved it. Courage in the pulpit is a rarity in America.
It was such a breath of fresh air to hear a Catholic priest like this preach it like it is. He will need much prayer to protect him from the onslsught from the Left that will be coming. Father in heaven, keep him safe because these days it is almost impossible to preach what needs to be said to not only Catholics, but to all who can take the truth. Amen.
This priest needs to be heard! such an amazing homily!
America, founded by Englishmen who committed genocide against the original inhabitants of the American continent.
looks down at self Only if you use the “married them” definition, as has become popular. Seemed awful racist to me– “how dare you wipe them out by acting like they’re normal people and getting married, that’s the same as mass slaughter!”
Might want to check a dictionary. One that’s not online.
Also might want to check a map… England =/= Spain or the rest of Europe.
Then might want to check the assumption that the American tribes were some sort of single, unified whole. Nah. Acted like any other bunch of conflicting groups of humans that didn’t share a strong Christian-style moral framework that insists humans are of inherent moral worth.
If you find dying in job lots to end slavery to be horrific abuse of a nebulous group, you’re really gonna be upset by what the tribes got up to. I suggest not starting with the Aztecs.
